I can get the cloud beast coils within a 15 minute walk from a local b and m but they're 5 quid each. I'm really hoping to get a few weeks out of one or it starts to get expensive. On day 4 so far and all's good .
Vape on and live long.

Too bad your not in the US because I picked up a 5 pack for $15

I just fried an X4 in my BBB on my Alien. P!$$ me off.

I was just talking about how how easy this is to do with a G-Priv when changing batteries and the temp lock is reset to off. I was carrying a bunch of stuff and my Alien went from 42w to 204w as the up button was pushed and I took one puff and toasted an almost new coil. Aaaggghhhh!!!!!

Was actually so bad I just had to dump the contents and wash the tank and chimney out because I still tasted it with a new coil!
That's bad.

I knew immediately that I fried my coil tonight before I even started to inhale. The heat and sound made it pretty obvious.

I had to wash out the tank a few times and soak it for a bit before it was completely odourless.

I got into the bad habit of letting the MOD switch to VW mode after using a Sub Ohm tank and I stuck the drip it in my mouth and fired it while taking a pull! NASTY and it smelled like smoke! Didn't really get any vapor and the coil was out of alignment when I looked in it. Using the tank again right now though so all good again!

So far, my Alien is my favorite mod. I haven't had any issues-no misfires, no dry hits, no leaking, no paint chipping, but I bought a few skins for it just in case. I think the problems the Alien had originally have all been worked out. And version b, which is the one I have, currently has no firmware updates. One of my favorite aspects to this mod is the way it feels when I hold it, my favorite by far. My 200 watt Kbox is OK, and the GX350 is a little clunky, but the Alien is great. And the only issue I've had with coils in the Baby Beast is when I tried to change juices from a coffee juice to a fruity juice, it took three tear downs and cleanings and changing the coil to get the coffee taste to go away.

Hi , i have to agree with many happy Smok Alien vapers on a great device but i have experienced a blank screen after the device stands for a few minutes ,but i can still vape as normal . The device has been updated but to no avail , problem persists . So whenever i replace batteries i give 5 clicks on the firing button and then close the battery door .The device boots up as normal and i can select a new or the same coil .The screen will work as normal for a few minutes of vaping and then just go black again.Anyone experience similar problem ?

It's inexcusable that the Alien doesn't have a way of locking the power adjustment.

I'm sitting here using my Alien right now, and as long as the screen in blank (not pushing the fire bar) the up/down buttons won't do anything. I can imagine if the fire bar was accidentally pressed in a pocket, the up/down buttons might then cycle if pressure was applied to them as well. But if the fire bar is locked those buttons don't work either.

I do agree.

As much as I am a Alien fanboy, no reason why something functionally similar to the lock on my G-Priv couldn't have been used.

My case was a weird one as my hands were full and I was carrying 2 mods sandwiched in my hand and obviously pressed the fire button hard/long enough to allow the temp to fly up to over 200w.

Learning experience but can't say it will navel happen again! LOL

I don't have a G-Priv so what kind of lock did they use? Is it a specific type as it uses the touch screen? On the Alien a pretty standard 5 click lock/unlock the fire button/bar works to keep that from happening.
