hi guys so I got the Griffin tank last Saturday after tinkering with it all weekend and researching how to wick it, I'm proud to say the flavor I'm getting is better then the tanks I use to Vap before like crown cleito and smok tfv4. RBAS from my experience are in fact better. So I decided to go back to the Smok dual RBA and wick it with the knowledge I learned from online and of course you guys!! And guess what? It's actually not bad at all!! But I notice this coil which is a .34 with the coils that came premade and I need to run it at 80-85 watts to get good flavor. The Griffin coil build I have is 24 gauge 3.5 mm diameter 7 wraps and a resistance of .33. Although I can Vap it all the way to 80 it's best around 65-70 watts! Is it because of the diameter difference of the coil ? Also what cause coils to crackle after you take a hit? On the Griffin build it was fine all day and tonight started crackling after some hits? I actually am vaping the Smok dual head and just tried 90 watts and it's fine no crackling!? And good taste but not as sharp as the Griffin setup.
