    Six colors:
Black, Red, Prism Rainbow, Prism Gold, Prism Blue and Prism Deep Tarnish.
Both the Samples I received have a nice metallic paint finish, the control keys are the same color as the frame, the pattern of the acrylic back panel varies according to the model, overall the result is sober and elegant.

How the Smok RPM2 Kit is made:
The form factor of the RPM2 closely resembles that of the progenitor RPM40, it is also heavier than the RPM80, the feeling of solidity and robustness that you feel when holding it is superior to that of other RPMs.

Starting from the top you can see the first improvement, the pod has gained a lot in liquid capacity (Rpm 40/80 Tank is not a little) also offers a large transparent surface for total control of the level / liquid.

The zinc alloy frame houses a dark colored panel with the Smok logo imprinted on the upper part.
Below we find the fire button with the same shape as that of the RPM40, but much larger and more comfortable to click.

The OLED display of the new 1.14 "RPM2 is huge compared to that of the RPM40 and RPM80, the font is really enlarged and nice to read.
Below the screen there are the Up / Down keys which are also oversized and comfortable to operate.

On the back, the soberly decorated acrylic panel is integrated into the frame. In the lower part of this panel we find the word RPM2, 2000mAh, the brand C E, the logo for disposal and the word "designed by Smok".

    9.jpg

In the side view of the RPM2 we can easily understand how the wide transparent perimeter of the Pod offers full visual control.
Slightly lower there are the two air-flows, fixed, with measures of 3x12mm, the particular transparency of the pod allows you to view the liquid even through the slots of Air-Flow.

One of the two sides bears the USB Type-C charging socket on the bottom, I prefer this convenient location of the USB over that of the RPM40 which was on the bottom of the Mod.

The pod compartment is large and spacious, in the four corners there are respectively four round shaped magnets, in the center there are the two contact pins.
The base that holds the RPM2 upright has two vent holes for the integrated battery and bears the name of the new Smok Chipset.

    11.jpg

    POD RPM-RPM2:
There are two tanks available in the kit, both of which adopt an anatomical mouthpiece in the "duck's beak" style and both tank contain a huge amount of liquid (7ml).

    12.jpg

The rubber cap of the tank is placed on the side, but we see a difference: one has the inscription RPM2 and the other the inscription RPM, why?
Simply because the one with RPM2 writing will host a new series of Coils called RPM2, larger and more performing.
The other tank called RPM continues to house the entire Smok RPM-Coil series available on the market.

    13.jpg

By moving the red rubber refill cap to the side, you can access the refill hole, this hole is well sized to be used with most liquid containers on the market.

    Coil:
In the kit for the RPM2 tank there is the new 0.16Ω Coil RPM2 Mesh with range (25-50W).
The coil chosen instead for the RPM tank of this kit is the 0.4Ω RPM-Coil (25W).

The air-flow of the RPM2 conveys the air to the coil from top to bottom with a sort of "U" turn, the obligatory passage impacts the pod in the initial section, and then descends channeled along the internal walls, opening the bending radius in progression until reaching the coil.
The feeling with both coils (although they are different) is that of a perfectly balanced and contrasted puff at the right point.

    - Coil RPM2 Mesh from 0.16Ω (25-50W) These coils have been designed by Smok to be used on the mod Scar P5 and P3, they are low resistance Coils ideal for a more airy vape in full DL style. I had already tried them and I liked them for their excellent characteristic of making very wel,l even at the lowest wattage indicated on the coil (25-50W).

At 25W you can vape all day without getting tired, the delivery is ready and the steam is not too hot, of course by raising the watts the steam becomes more full-bodied and the flavor more marked, the optimal performance is at 40W,

    - Coil RPM from 0.4Ω (25W): This coil is indicated for a more restricted/flavor inhalation, also it offers great flexibility of use, already at 15W it is able to activate perfectly and promptly, naturally its "Best" can be reached at 25W.

I noticed that this 0.4Ω coil works much better on the RPM2 than the Scar P5, the Puff is smooth and clean, free of imperfections with a constant thrust and good vaporiness, on the RPM2 I find it perfectly balanced between steam production and release aromatic, a coil for all day use, its longevity with the necessary precautions and with the use of the right liquids is certainly at the top of the category.

The positive note using the Smok pods is that I do not register liquid leaks, the formation of condensation at the end of the day is very minimal or even absent, the Coil si Smok are confirmed as very reliable among the best on the market.

    Exploded view Smok RPM2:

    16.jpg

    How Smok RPM2 works:
The 1.14 "Oled screen shows all the information useful for vaping, very clearly in enlarged characters, the renewed IQ-X Chipset allows you to:
    - Turn on / off the mod, making five consecutive clicks on the Fire button in less than two seconds.
    - Vaping by clicking the Fire button.
    - Lock / unlock the Display by pressing the fire button three times in succession.
    - Lock / unlock the wattage by pressing the up / down buttons simultaneously.
    - Adjust the Wattage with the Mod unlocked from 1 to 80W with an increase / decrease of 1W at a time, by clicking Up or Down.
    - Cancel the total number of puff's by simultaneously pressing the Down / Fire buttons, selecting Clear Puff "Yes or Not", confirming the choice by holding down the Fire button.

    17.jpg

The built-in battery of the Smok RPM2 for a whole charging cycle takes a time of about 90 minutes, while charging the display you can see the percentage of charge and the remaining time.

Battery management is very good, in line with Smok's best products.
Using Coil RPM2 Mesh 0.16Ω (25-50W) to 35W I was able to make 285 Puff.

Using Coil RPM 0.4Ω (25W) to 25W the number of Puff obtained was 370.

    18.jpg

Note: by simultaneously pressing the Up key and the Fire key we can view the estimate of the remaining Puff in real time.
The estimate is calculated by the IQ-X chip based on the parameters of; remaining battery charge state, Watts set and value in Ω of the installed resistance.

With the battery fully charged, the estimate was higher than the number of puffs that I actually obtained during the test. Of course they are indications that vary according to the length of the Puff of each.

    19.jpg

    Final considerations:
During the Smok RPM 2 test I found no problems, the product has many advantages, I have described them and I repeat some of them together with my advice.

My advice is this: if you are looking for an easy-to-use, comfortable device with a huge autonomy of 7ml, solid, robust, reliable, cheap, with a very good management of the IQ-X chipset and with performing Coils an long-lasting ... I think the Smok RPM2 will make you happy.

I thank Smok for sending this Sample: SMOK® Official Store
