Hey guys... Great post first off... I just picked this up a couple of days ago at the mall (killer deal) and leaked out two tanks through the air holes with the quad coil. Absolutely loved the flavor but I flooded it both times starting at 40 watts then the same thing breaking it in at 60 watts. I put it off to the side and been vaping the triple coil it came with. Even messed with the RBA modded by my younger brother with a new coil wrap. But nothing compared to the quad coil. I'm use to breaking in my starre and starre pro (agree with u guys on the pro). But I read all your great knowledgeable posts and thought I would give it another try. I washed it out a couple of days ago. I just threw it in... No priming or anything. Hit it at 80 watts and it spit a little. Bumped it up to 95 and it hits like a dream. Amazing flavor and no flooding. I'm letting it sit over night and hoping for the best. Great advice and you guys might have fixed my issues and brought back my beloved quad haha. I'll post a pick of the modded RBA in the morning. Crossing my figures for a full tank in the morning!!! Thanks again for the great post guys. Using a IPV 4s btw

Mine arrived Saturday, after losing 4 full tanks worth of juice due to to leaking, this one is going in the junk drawer with the Freemax Pro. Both tanks provide a fantastic vape, but suffer from the poor top fill solutions. Waiting on the crown to arrive some time this week...
that's crazy - had one issue initially with the freemax pro and it was operator error on my part (didnt have the 'switch' on top in the off position) - have had zero issues with it since... have had no issues whatsoever with the tfv4 - now, i have only used the triple coil, have heard some folk report some leaking issues with the quad coil, especially if they went with a gradual ramp up on wattage - but going straight to 80 watts are so and vaping on it seems to have resolved that for everyone that has posted previously... if you do junk drawer em, drop me a line - might be interested in taking them off your hands - sorry to hear you have not had good results, as those two are currently my preferred tanks by far

Mine would either leak, or dry hit. There was no in-between. I am waiting on the replacement from Vape Royalty, since Freemax aknowledged there was an issue with one of the batches juice control.
i have only used the triple coil, have heard some folk report some leaking issues with the quad coil
I was using the triple coil, the top fill gasket was not sealing (tried replacing it with the new gasket). Without the vacuum forming, the coils would flood, and eventually so would the airflow. I inspected all of the seals, they all seemed seated properly with the exception of the top fill.

The TFV4 has been sold already to a buddy who wanted to try fixing the gasket. The Pro is still sitting in my drawer.

I'm glad folks are enjoying both the Pro and TFV4, but I seem to have received lemons of both. I do not have the patience or inclination to deal with spending more of my hard earned cash on products with poor QC.

Remember to always close off the air flow when filling these top fill tanks, all of them need to be closed off, except for the kayfun 4... off the top of my head.

@V43L1N , Sorry to hear your problems with those tanks, it happens, I hope you have more luck with the Crown, please let us know..

@Rixsta I will for sure, We're all part of a big beta test to find the perfect vape. At home its all about the Aromamizer for me, I'm still chasing the perfect tank for long days on the IPV4, or normal work days on the SX Mini M Class(Just ordered the Amigo Riptide, looks promising with mesh incorporated into the wicking!).

Just got my TVF4--running it with the quad coil at 120 watts. This thing puts out flavor and vapor similar to my derringer dripper. Very nice. No leaks yet as far as I can tell. I found it a little hard to screw in the base tight enough, but managed to get a good seal. This thing is pretty awesome. Better than my other tanks so far and I have the crown, Freemax starre, matrix, aspire atlantis II, Triton, and herekles

The next one to try will be the new Cyclone tank by Sense (made the herakles).
Yeah that could be good one too..

Does anyone find the TFV4 to be a bit to much, I have been vaping it all day and that intense flavour, I just feel I need a rest.. I'm with @V43L1N , I'm still looking for that all day everyday perfect vape / tank, I have a feeling that the Crown with the dual 0.5ohm might just do it, a nice balance so to speak, although the Freemax Starre V2 is still a great vape too, I'm not sure we will ever find perfection, maybe we have but it's more to do with nicotine and gadgets that keeps us buying more.. I mean we are so lucky to be vaping on these awesome sub tanks, we could be sucking the life out of vape pens with pipe cleaner wicks still, we have it pretty good, right ..:thumb:

I agree, it has the best flavour out of all of them, to much flavour sometimes, maybe I need to cut down my flavour percentage a bit..that quad coil is incredible.

Ok... So that's crazy about it leaking with the triple... How are u breaking it in? I found u can't go below 60 on the triple coil and below 80 on the quad. If u even do it once it will flood the coils and once they're flooded u have to wash it out and let it sit for a day or so. Absolutely no problems since. I will agree that it's a super strong vape with the tfv4. Even at 80 with the drip tip open it is a little warm for my preference. The star pro works flawlessly if u follow the instructions. Turn screw cap on when filling and immediately turn to off after screwing it back on. The regular star is a champ in my eyes at 40 watts. Perfect ADV. the smok is a play toy for big flavor and big clouds but the nicotine hit is crazy on it along with sucking down juice. Haven't tried the crow but having 4 tanks and managing coils seems a little to much for me. I'm happy with the starre and the tfv4. Well sorry they didn't work out for u

Cleaning the tank and taking out the coil and blowing down it hard while wrapped in a paper towel / kitchen roll will sort the flooding out, I have never washed out a coil because of flooding, no need..

FWIW, for the first couple of days, I was closing off the air flow when refilling the Freemax Starre Pro, but since then I haven't been and it still hasn't leaked on me. When I did change the coil from the 0.25 to the 0.15 ohm, I did notice that the spring pressure from the chimney was pretty beefy. Had to put a bit of pressure while screwing the bottom hardware back on to overcome the pressure from the chimney until the threads grabbed.

I'm really tempted by the TFV4, but mainly to use the RBA head in it, don't want to be tied down to buying pre-built coils.

Been using the subtank mini's with the RBA's for a while and been happy with them, but just fancy a change, I did win a triton and got the RTA head for that, but not impressed with that tank.

So how many have used the RBA head with the TFV4 and what was your impressions with it?
