put in the rba section and it leaked like a sieve with what I thought was enough cotton for the wick. Decided to replace the RBA with another fresh quad, unfortunately the new quad seems to cause some leaking unlike the first one I used. Pretty sure it is the actual head causing the leaking and not the o-rings or a loose tank. Hope this isn't a hit or miss with the quad. On the other hand, my triple in a different tank has broken in a bit and is putting out nice flavor now, almost comparable to the quad.

Well, the mail man finally came, all the way from China. I should get a chance to play with everything later in the week.

My tolerance for heat must be higher. I've been vaping the quad at 140w and it's delicious and mildly warm for me. Great tank.
I swear a lot of it has to do with how fast you draw on it, slower the draw, the quicker it heats up.

I've had my kit about five days now. Paired along with the new smok xcube 2. I managed to also track down the dual coil rta deck separately and got that on monday.

I had leaking issues immediately with the quad coil. No leaking with the tri coil. Ive tried numerous builds and wicking configs on the single and dual deck with cotton, rayon, and readyx ceramic. The ceramic was a fail but I havent given up on it. As far as cotton and rayon (of which i hate using both cause of the nasty wet sock taste it gives every juice) Ive only had leaking when filling the tank.

On my unit the airholes cannot be closed 100% when filling. For whatever reason the holes on the airflow ring itself are ever so slightly larger than the cooresponding holes in the base itself. So there is never a good vacum when im filling it. All my orings seem fine, are intact, and ive tried builds with wick in the channels as well as tucked up on the dec itself. Still leaks alot when filling.

Its either user error or a bad unit. I dunno. I like the tank but its not liking me.

You are right, you can not close the airflow, so you have to fill quickly. That's a "bug"

That seems to me more than a bug. I do fill quickly. It happens from the very start. Ive contacted ecigavenue the vendor I got it from just now, and sent a pic of the base.

That... bug... makes the rta decks useless for everyone who wants to use them.

Thanks for the ideas. Im gonna mess with it more tonight when I get some time trying a few things. Im gonna use plain vg with some dist water till I get it figured out. I make my own juice but no sense wasting more of my made juices on it.

It really kinda peeves me off tho that units even shipped with airflow that cannot be closed off without some kind of "fix" by end users.

Well I had a bit of a leak when I just installed the rba deck. I haven't had a tank leak in ages. Not massive, but a tad messy nonetheless. I noticed also that the afc ring doesn't quite cover the hole. My crack at a solution was the old "filling the Kayfun from the top" blow. Turn the tank upside down, put a vaper towel around the openings and blowing into the tank. It's been about half an hour and no further leaking.

That means having to take the tank off to fill, but I'm not apt to take this out and about anyway, I basically got this tank for home use. If that what it takes, then it's not a deal breaker. I've never had a kanthal build @ .8 ohms that I had anything to do with rock at 60 watts with such a flavorful, saturated vape.

Fingers crossed that it doesn't start flowing again.
