Heads up on this to be released tank system. To be released in mid-June. Comes in stainless and black with a choice of 3 coil heads or a rebuildable section.

Has anyone used this with the RX200? Does it have the same 510 connection issues as the tfv4? If so is there a fix around this?

Also, as far as batteries - would 3 LG HG2s be suitable and capable of safely firing the tfv8 up at 200w with the 0.15ohm coil? I'm struggling with the concept of using 3 batteries - does this mean everything is essentially divided by 3 when I'm trying to work things out?

How about the possibility of coil rebuilds as well? Not seeing anything in the way of tutorials yet but I know it hasn't been out for too long. On the other hand the coils do look extremely complex so maybe it's more hassle than it's worth. How long are people getting on these coils?

Would really like to see a video review when it comes out to see if this should be my first full size Smok tank replacing the tfv4 nano on the r steam 80w TC mod.

One thing with this (I just got mine a couple days ago), is that the very minimum recommended wattage is 50 watts (it produces just a little vapor at 30 watts), up to either 180w or 260w, and I found it starts waking up around 100, and stamped on the coils it says the sweet spot is either 50-180, or 120-180, so the R Steam probably wont have enough power, if you were thinking of running it on that, with a max of 80 watts.

100 watts on this isn't that crazy though, to me it is like 30-50 watts on other set ups, though it has great flavor IMO.

I have the Micro One with the R80 and Micro TFV4 and I love that set up!

I just picked up the TFV8 yesterday. Wicked up the deck with its pre-installed coils at 0.3Ω. Running it on the IPV400 I got at the same time. Started at 50w, but quickly realized I needed much more power. Finally started kicking in at about 95w and am now cruising along at 120w. I've never gone above 85w or so before, but this thing is da bomb! But sure cuts in to my battery life!

Yeah it goes right through batteries. I have the Primus (triple 18650), and I can almost see the battery indication drop a little after each drag  Man though, I keep finding my ATF tanks, and this is becoming one quick, though I am going to be going through juice much faster if I keep going like this, the taste is great though.

I love the TF8. Definently lives up to its name 'the cloud beast' and have been impressed by the ammount of vapour produced. Definently not a tank for people who only like a little vapour, my brother choked his ring off and didn't like the crown either. Take 1 look at the coils being nearly double the size of say a aspire coil and you soon notice where the clouds are coming from.

You'll Definently need a high powered mod and premium batteries to get the most out of the coils. 50W won't produce bugger all vapour, but bump it up over 100W and your in business. Yet to take it to the max 260W as my current Joytech Cuboid being regulated won't allow it to go above 118W and even then I'd pushing my 25A batteries to the danger zone.

It's an incredibly thirsty tank, you'll be topping it up and chewing thru the juice, have been through about 15m or 3 tanks worth today. You'll want low nicotine juice, or your going to have issues unless your content only having 1 puff. I use 6mg and seriously considering lower Nic.

Both the 8 and 4 prebuilt Coils work well with max VG and is handling my thick az hiliq VG blends well. I DIY my juice, and add 15% flavour base and only VG. Nic is in VG too. Not a real fan of PG.

RBA is huge comes with stapled claptons preinstalled. Yet to try it out. Coils have been fine so far, swapped the 8 out to try the 4 with a flavour change. Definently do not try strong Menthol blends, bit like a RDA you'll want to dilute the juice down first.

New regulated RX200S coming tomorrow so will bump up the watts and watch the juice disappear then. Should also handle the high Amp load better over the three 18650's

I wouldn't go above 180w with 20 amp batteries, but it's probably fairly safe (but be aware that you're exceeding the cdr of the batteries). Btw, resistance doesn't factor into the amp draw on vw mods.

So, I got my RX200 and TFV8 today. Charged up my new VTC4s, and put the 8 on it and received atomizer short. Tried it out on my ipv3li and it'll fire if I thread it on half way any further and it shows atomizer low @.04 ohms.

It looks like I may have a bad coil, but it also seems the center pin is protruding pretty far. When I get home, I'll try a new coil, but I suspect I'll have to send it back for replacement. A shame too, I really love my TFV4 and this one seems real nice from the two pulls I got from it.
