I think that's a matter of personal preference and possibly the type of e juice being used.

I am currently using the Smok pre punched at 3.2 ohms without any issues.

I agree here. I will say that pre-punched is better than ones you punch yourself. They are easier on the o-rings.

Smoktech 2.0 XL in stainless steel is my favorite. I run non-punched with a very high percentage VG. I'll be punching them for carto tank use starting next week. The Smoktech 2.0 XL holds 1.8 ml of juice.

Boge or Smoktech? I've seen hundreds of posts of this subject. Some like one and not the other. After you learn how to use a carto without burning try both and decide for yourself. Both are actuall pretty good cartos.

I bought five boxes of the Smoktech from here earlier this week. I've had excellent luck with Hoosier e-cig supply.

Smoktech 2.0 ohm XL non-punched:
2.0 ohm low resistance cartomizers

Smoktech pre-punched 2.0 ohm XL: 1, 2, or 3 hole
Pre Punched Replacement tank cartomizers

Genuine Boge and Smoktech cartomizers are both good cartomizers. They are both different in the way that they are made.

Boges typically have a tighter polyfiller. This makes them a little tougher to fill, but less likely to flood, too. I have less experience with this brand.

Smoktechs typically have a looser polyfiller. This makes them easier to fill, but also more likely to flood. These are still my backup cartomizer.

I switched to Ikenvape cartos a few months ago. They are a limited production cartomizer compared to the other two brands. They are popular and often out of stock. I have found them to have a nice flavor production, are easy to fill, and they typically last longer than the Smoktech cartos I used before.

I only use laser-drilled cartos. The tool-punched cartos often get distorted into an oval shape which can cause unnecessary wear and tear on the tank's inner o-rings, which keep your tank from leaking. Using laser-drilled carts eliminates this problem.

I also recommend using a tank accessory tool such as a Slap Yo Moma tool from Big Daddy Vapor. This device makes assembling and filling your tank go much easier, and also further protects your tank's o-rings from the sharp edges of the cartomizer.

i was actually wondering this myself...i always go with smok in 2.5 cause thats what my place carries. they do what's needed. but i use em straight with no tank cause my first experience with a DCT was...not good (use your imagination) but from what i hear, boge's used to be the cat's meow, but the quality noticeably dropped

when i'm out and about however and need a holding capacity, or just want a KILLER amount of vape, my weapon of choice is the Smok shorty EMDCC no doubt. looks perfect on a black ego, and very nice on my MVP

Started using Boges but switched to SmokTechs. Preferred the ST cuz they lasted longer than the Boges. Boge and SmokTech used to be the preferred carto but quality issues arose and most of us switched to Vivi Novas, clearos, RBAs and never looked back. I've still got about 60 ST cartos and use them once in a while with a tank. Before tight draw begins with ST carto+ tank I get:
dark juice-50-60 ml
light juice-80-90 ml
Realize though these are the older style cartos manufactured before the QC issues arose.

Funny how this thread just popped up when I was comparing my usual Boge 2.0 cartos to the mini Smoks I just got in the mail. While I found the vapor production to be about equal between the two, the Smoktechs seem to impart some weird flavor to my juice that I don't particularly like. I'll stick with Boges. (I should note, however, that I just use plain cartos...no tank.)

I was using Smoktechs and then bought a few Boge...None of my drip tips or my filler tools will fit the Boge though. Also the prepunched ones I got the filler was really low and made it harder to fill for me. Im going back to the Smoktech ones.

They might've been the newer 1.7's? I got a box and you're right, they are tighter- had to look to find a different drip-tip. Probably just remove the O-ring would work.

I believe the filler being low was because they were Tank specific and you only use that much filler in a C-tank. I guess they figured why waste it, lol.

They Regular Boges are normal like Smoketechs'.

I'm going to send an email to the supplier I use for the Boges and tell him about the drip-tip issue. Maybe he and Boge can address the issue.

i think the holes on the smok's are too small, although i've not had a problem with my juices, because i don't tend to use heavy vg juice. however, i think i like the boge cartos better for some reason. the quality issue has been addressed, and the ones that were "bad" are pretty much long gone. i punch my own for the most part, but i do love those nice sized drilled style holes you get with some boges from a few vendors. the flange on the end of the smok cartos is pretty darn cool, but since i've been using cartomaters and higher quality tanks, i haven't had any issues with tanks slipping. i have and use both, but for the most part, i lean towards the boges

...and of course, Ikenvape cartos are also in a class of their own... when you can get 'em.
