I agree with Snowlady. I got the 900. It draws like any 78mm when it is plugged in as a PT or standalone with the endcap off. But with the cap on it has a more airy draw (have to draw harder to get the battery fired up - normal draw gets you a mouthful of air). This isn't due to it being sealed - that just helps protect it from any juice getting in. I think it is due to the fact that the cap covers the 2 air holes at the end more than it should. However only a handful of people have reported that, so maybe it isn't noticeable or bothersome enough for them to mention.
It doesn't bother me enough to send it back. I use with the cap off and am happy with the longer lasting battery.

I was having the same problem as Starsong, but I kept the cap on. For some reason: User adjustment? or battery break-in?, it doesn't seem to act like that anymore. It's a really nice draw now. I love this thing!

I've had the 900 manual for a few days and love it.
I do not notice any difference between the cap being on or off as far as draw goes.
Nor do I see a diff when it's plugged in or not.
Frankly, it's awesome whichever way I use it.
The only thing I have against it is that the draw is so good that I find that my cartos don't last quite as long. I'd like a bigger carto, please!!!!

I also own the regular passthrough, along with the 65mm and 78mm batts. This one blows all of them away, IMO.

Forgot to mention that it lasts me a day to a day and a half!

I've had the 900 mah auto for over 2 weeks. Performance is excellent, but I also find the draw more airy with the cap on. When loosened about 1 turn, it improves. With the cap off, no issue. All in all, a great product.

There are 2 notches at the base of the thread, and I'm wondering if 2 more would improve the cap issue.

Could be, but give it a few days. Mine fixed itself!
