I haven't been smoking long long compared to alot of people I know, five years oops wait my birthday was last week so make that six years. Favorites are Camel 99's and I smoke 20-25 a day. Well I have family members quitting cigs with a person who smells like smoke(I'm tired of being blamed..lol..) just ends up have nic fits. So i'm looking to get on board with the E-cigs. I've read some of the stickies and concluded I would need about 18mg NT in a cart(Correct me if i'm wrong). I'm not exactly sure what model I should look into, I need something most local headshops will carry along with most smoke shacks haha that will actually be dependable for me since I can't really order anything online(to much of a hassle) so I rather just walk in and buy what I need. I'm in Portland OR so most of the time its being carried around here. So please let me know.

Have you checked out the shops your talking about? I think some of them will let you try what they have to find what you want. I live rural, so only have the option of buying on the internet. I know a lot of people don't do credit cards, but some companys, like FreedomsmokeUSA takes checks over the internet, and they have great customer service. They also sell a variety of models, and have a 1800 contact number and are actually very helpful over the phone as well.

Well there is a 7-11 down the street from me and I know they carry those cheap x-02 ones or whatever, but after reading the results on here I think i'll pass on going cheap on that. I've tried a friends "Envy" and I think it was the Nirvana one with their carts well it was pretty good except there wasn't no throat burn without me really sucking on it but then again they bought it to quit so I don't know what the level of nicotine was.

Oh wow straight to the point, appreciate the help guys thank you so much :)

BongMaestro,

My suggestion would be to try a starter's kit that is relatively inexpensive and trying in-store prior to see if the vapor it produces is enough for you. A knowledgable vendor should be able to help the nicotine level that would be a comparable switch from your analog habits. Taste is subjective, and it's easy to find one you like. If the first step works for you, then you can think about upgrading to a more powerful, robust ecig.

Good luck.

i hope that you have a local store that does better than those that i found where i'm at locally. as crappy as they seem to be, i've been successfully using them for 5 1/2 months before being introduce this week to the "wonderful world of so much more out there" from a stranger and this forum. the brands that i've tried include mystic, njoy and century21 and a disposable lava. they all taste a bit different and well, i can't say any of them taste good. but then again, i was a camel full-flavor smoker that liked the taste of camels before they messed with the filters to make them "safer" against fires. taste like crap but they still worked heh. best of luck with it and keep us posted on what you try out :)

...., answer a few people here and you will have 5 posts in no time. Then you can search for "throat hit" and you will find many people talking about juices that offer good throat hit. I was an ultra light smoker,so I tend toward juices with medium throat hit. Marlboro Red juices are popular and you will find them named USA Mix, Mboro, Mboro, and so on.

Hunter's Blend from Backwoods Brew is a popular one for TH. Wyatt Earp from FreedomSmokesUSA is another. In Dekang (China) juices, DK-TAB is very popular. DK-TAB is available from lots of suppliers. One is Madvapes in North Carolina.

I'm sure you will find what you are looking for in the sites posted for Oregon. There's also Liberty Flights (large vendor) E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings in California, just below you.

HI, I ordered my starter kit from altsmoke.com, They have their phone number at the top of the page to order during business hours. I got an ego-t starter kit and i personally think that it is the best starter kit that is also very adaptable to change. You can use the atomizers that come with it, or get cartomizers to try as well. It is very easy to use and they also carry the highest quality of e-liquid (once again my opinion) High Caliber. They are there to help you with all your vaping needs. Good Luck!!!
