Just curious how many others notice and feel the same way.

I smoked for 23 years same night i got my starter kit i quit. All the years I smoked I always had non-smokers complain about the smell, and as a smoker I never realized the smell after you smoked a cig was so much worse.

Now being just over a month I still enjoy getting that scent of cig being smoked that a breeze blows my way. But the after stink OMG. I got in an elevator this week and I couldn't believe it, no one was in there but the lingering smell of a group of smokers was still in there. It was so strong and it made me feel ill.... all I could think is omg i smelt like that wow!

I finally see what was told to me for so many years and just curious how many others have found themselves overpowered by the residual smell thats carried around on a smoker.

I never did like the smell of cigarette smoke. Never. I did everything in my power to try to keep it out of my house and car and off my clothes. I knew that was impossible but always tried anyway. After I quit and started vaping, it wasn't a week before I smelled cig smoke absolutely everywhere I went and it really grossed me out, a lot worse than it ever had before. I even thought....why do people subject me to their stinky second-hand smoke! LOL

I just wanna smack myself for all the times I went out to the bar in the winter time and wore a jacket. Next night I go to my Mom's for dinner who HATES the smell of ciggs and wear the same jacket...

Ummmmmmm....

I'm just like she is now and can't stand the smell of analogs. My buddy and I car pool at work and he smokes. The smell is just SICKENING IMO.

So, I was at the pediatrician with my toddler and another toddler came up to us to see my daughter. The baby was adorable and very sweet to my baby and my heart just broke because she literally smelled like she'd been in a smoke filled room for hours. And she probably had been.

Even after not having a cigarette for over two years, I still love the smell of someone smoking. But that lingering stale smokey smell... eeww. I didn't like it as a smoker either — used to hate when I could smell it on myself! It really clings to some people more than others, though. I think it's a factor of how someone smokes, what brand they smoke and the weather. I used to notice, for example, that smoking outside in the winter cold would make me smell a lot more smokey than smoking on a summer day.

It really is amazing how much more I notice the smell of smoke on people now. Even when it's faint, I can detect it!
