mod 032.jpg I have both ,the SMOK and the SIGELEI. I have only had the SIGELEI for about a week but it has preformed very well. They are a few different things between the two. Keep in mind that my SMOK is chrome and my SIGELEI is SS. I have read posts of how the SMOK ZMAX has some sharpe edges but that is not the case with mine. Maybe because it is the chrome and not the SS who knows but mine is very smooth and feels good in my hand. I really like the finish on this MOD. On the other hand my SIGELEI ZMAX SS it does have a few sharp edges. It really isn't that bauseig of a deal though. So why bring it up. LOL Any ways. The menu's are a little different as far as the order the go in but pretty much the same. Display is the biggest differance . I like the SMOK ZMAX's because these old eyes can read it with out my glasses. But , there. is always a but. They abv. a lot in the menu. As I've heard before who is LOU. The SIGELEI display spells it all out but it is quit small. For me anyway. Both MOD are solid units and which ever one you go with you will not be dissapointed. I also own a EVIC and a VAMO but I like my ZMAX's the best.I hope this helped. For me if I had to chose I would go with the SMOK but that is me.

I don't have a smok, but I do have a seigelei, and I'm very happy with it. There's a bit of a learning curve (FIVE button presses to cut it on when you put a new battery in) but otherwise, it's a nice little device. I got the black aluminum and it is VERY light (in my opinion) - maybe 2x the weight of an ego twist 1100 mah (with the battery in it) and while it doesn't seem flimsy to me at all, I was expecting something heavier. From what I understand the chrome is MUCH heavier than the aluminum.

I have the chrome/stainless sigelei...it's pretty heavy but in a good way. No battery it weighs 123 grams. Compared to the only aluminum 18650 device I have, an evic, which weighs 70 grams without the battery.

Hi.
I have 2 smok zmax (v1 & v2) for 3-4 months, and 2 sigelei zmax for about 2 months. They are all stainless.

From my experience:

smok zmax v1 is finicky with certain batt/spring/cap combo. Problems can be delayed firing, no firing, and firing on its own.
smok zmax v2 is much better than v1, but above issues can still exist. I think the cause is the circuit board mounting.
sigelei zmax has no firing issues.

smok zmax has better machining, however the slot designs on the body are irritating to the hand. Nice weight and size.
sigelei zmax is quite a bit heavier, seemingly overkill on metal thickness.

Their functions are the same.

The Sigelei costs less and is a better built device.

Is it? I've had 2 Smok ZMaxs'. Each one's fire button stopped working after ~2-3 weeks. First time I sent it back to Madvapes for warranty. Second time I said "F it".

I ordered a Segelei telescoping ZMax yesterday in hopes that Segelei has put together a better, more reliable unit. And you're not the first, nor second, maybe not even the third person I've heard that from. Plus I REALLY want to like it; I think the telescoping ZMax is awesome. In part because I have 18350, 18500 and 18650 batteries. Lots! But I also really like telescoping mods.

I'll post my review after a week or two of owning i.

I don't have the telescoping one but the regular one. I have had it for almost 3 months and have dropped it multiple times, even bent my protank that was attached to it, but the zmax is fine. It fires every time I hit the button and go through the menus so no problem there. I love mine and I hope you have a similar experience with yours. I'm interested to see what you think in a few weeks.

I have the Sigelei Zmax telescope (slant top) and for me it is a little heavy and cumbersome. I never use the 18650 batteries in it as I feel like I am carrying around a weapon of some sort. I usually use it in the 18350 or 18490 mode. I love the display - for me personally it seems easy to navigate.

Right now I am in an Active Co-op to get a Custom Sigelei Mini for a great price. It will be a "true" mini, set up for 18350 batteries and a cap to extend to 18490's. I am really looking forward to this since it is being machined custom for this co-op. You have to be a "verified" member to be able to participate or view the co-ops though.

Well, I got it today. So far so good. It really is a great looking mod, but I really like how teloscoping mods look and the functionality of being able to use any batts without an extension.

The Segelie marks the 9th mod I have. A provari, Provari mini, eVic, 2 Vamos (junk- I've had 3 die on me), a custom made DNA20 box and two wood pvs from woodboy.

I'll update this after a few week.

The Sigelei ZMAX feels heavier and consequently a little more well built. The main thing I like about it is that it has the outside eGo threading, which my Smok devices don't.

I actually like the Smok LED display better because it shows up better in sunlight and is even readable through the sleeves that I use. One of my Smoks does have a button issue that causes it to not fire sometimes. It's too intermittent for me to know what is actually going on, though.

Overall, both versions have performed excellently.

I just got my Sigelei Zmax Brushed SS and It's a champ. I know it supposed to be the same chipset as the Vamo, but I think I like the vape from it just a tad more. It also reads the addy resistance a little closer. Also I had accidently purchased some MT3 attys for my ProTank. So I got a few MT3's at the same time. The Pro Tank looks good on their but the MT3 SS is a perfect match. That is if the total looks are anything for you. I do like the ProTank better but that may just be because it is more airy which for me gives a better vape. Not so good for my juices cause I seem to be plowing through them in the ProTank.
