Smoking analogs and vaping.

I have tried many times to quit smoking. I had started out with disposables but went back to cigs. One day at work a friend showed me this new ego she is using. I smoked on her spare all day. I fell in love with it and the flavors so much that i bought my own and now 4 months later have not touched a cig. I had also started out on 36mg of nicotine and am down to 18mg now. Even if i got down to zero nic i would still vape. I luv the flavs. I found a site dfwvapor.com that have amazing flavors... i use the vanilla and cotton candy ones the most. Good luck. I also have to say it's a mindset. Once u have set it in ur mind that ur gonna do this and not touch a cig it gets easier. Also if u still feel like u need a cig try increasing ur mg on nicotine...

When I first started I did both, and then realized my nicotine for vaping wasn't high enough so I raised it a level and when I did that I noticed I smoked less anologs so I raised it again I started at 24mg that was the key for me to get off the anologs, I was 16mg doing both then to 18mg and then just went to highest 24mg and never touched one after that. My neightbour he uses both, he use to be 2-2.5 pack smoker a day talk about crazy, I baught him one as a pay it forward and a 30ml bottle 18mg he is down to 1 pack a day now he been going strong for a week so far 1.6ml/day at 18mg. His son has been doing both for a week now and I think but not sure, his son is totally off the anologs now and he uses about 1.6ml per day 18mg and use to be a pack a day smoker

I guess its just a psychological thing but not sure, the dad tells me all the time i might drop anologs but he says im in no rush...

I just was wondering if anyone else is using both and kind of cutting back or are you just switching?

I started vaping on January 6 and have cut back considerably on analogs! I purchased an eGo Twist and absolutely love it, I enjoy vaping SO much more than analogs!

Like you, I still have an analog in the car BUT, to take care of this problem I purchased a USB Passthrough device and a 2 amp USB car charger SO, I plan on vaping in my car and totally abandoning analogs! I def do not ENJOY analogs anymore, I do enjoy laying in bed and vaping before I go to sleep though (which is nice since I didn't use analogs in my house)! I'm starting to hate the smell of analogs too!

I fell off the wagon a while back, I had a bad accident and am still in a lot of pain from it. Vaping just wasn't enough for me for a while, I don't get the "instant gratification" from it that I did from cigs, and when you are in lots of pain, you want that gratification!
I was back smoking more than I had been, 2-3 PAD, sometimes more when I was up for two days at a time when the weather changed. I've gotten some relief from the pain and wanted to get back on board. I still smoke, mostly 3-4 a day, it's getting easier. There are times I'm driving and grab my PV, hit it, and realize I've got a cig burning!
If you feel you need a cig, have one, it's not the end of the world, don't beat yourself up about it! As 'Tude and others said, it's not the ones you have, it's the ones you don't have! I figure four cigs a day is a whole lot better than 60!

I started vaping a month ago. I was a pack a day smoker. I am still a smoker. I just happen to be a very light smoker as of right now. For the first 3 weeks I was averaging about 7-8 cigarettes a day, and a lot of those were just because I wasn't entirely happy with the flavor of vapes that I had available to me. I think a major key is to find a flavor that you truly enjoy. Allow me to explain. I can vape some strawberry/banana flavored juice, and think that it's good. But it gets sickening after awhile. After half a day of that you just want a normal cigarette. After experimenting awhile with different juices, and figuring out what you like, you'll find a juice that just hits the spot. Something that you can vape all day and not get tired of. That is the key to success. After a month I have found 2 juices that I thoroughly enjoy. Ever since then I have been down to 3-4 cigarettes a day. And to be completely honest, I could probably do without 2 of those. The two times I really want a real cigarette are when I first wake up, and another one when I drink my first cup of coffee.

The rest are more out of habit than anything. I don't really even feel the NEED. In fact after I smoke them, I often think that I would have been more satisfied vaping. I guess old habits die hard. Personally I'm not going to press the issue right now. If I want to have a cigarette I'll have one. I think denying yourself just makes the temptation worse.

I didn't get into vaping for the purpose of quitting smoking. I bought my first e cig out of curiosity. I had no intentions with it at all. I just started using it, and I liked it. And as a result I smoke a fraction of the cigarettes I used to. Not only is that better for my health, but it's also saving me piles and piles of money. So I'm gonna keep doing it and see where it takes me.

but the best advice I can give you is to keep trying to find a flavor you really really enjoy. That will be what causes you to choose the ecig over the cigarette. Search the internet for a brick and mortar store near you. If you have one that's close enough to visit, do it! Most stores allow you to sample all of their flavors for free. If you were to buy 20 sample bottles online, you would probably pay $70 or something. Even if you don't find your perfect flavor, you might be able to figure out what types of juices you prefer. Get what I'm saying? Good luck OP.
