I wonder this too... and while i realize that inhaling nothing would be the absolute best option, i know that vaping is a MILLION times better, at least judging from the impact it has had on my life

1 - i can run up stairs without losing my breath
2 - i can run a couple miles every morning and not feel like im going to die afterwards
3 - i can swim a mile every night at the gym after dinner and feel good when im done
4 - i can hold my head high when i tell my wife i finally quit
5 - i never have to walk into a convenience store again if i dont want to instead of going in every day and spending $5 to $10 on smokes and crap
6 - i can taste food again
7 - NO GUILT

is it the lesser of 2 evils? maybe, but for now analogs are proven to definitely cost you your life, e-cigs are not

Awesome, I guess you wouldn't be running a few miles without decent lung function.

I have no idea what that is, but I'm glad you have had an improvement in your breathing.

I was diagnosed before they changed the name. Other names used for the disease.

Histiocytosis X; Langerhans cell histiocytosis; Eosinophilic granuloma; Pulmonary histiocytosis X; Nonlipid reticuloendotheliosis; Pulmonary Langerhans cell granulomatosis; Hand-Schuller-Christian disease; Letterer-Siwe disease

Im a ex smoking respiratory therapist, and proud of it,,,,,,,, and I tried everything before E-cigs, over the years , nothing worked or lasted more than a month or two,,, I bought my E cig starter kit and never looked back, period .,,, I shout from the mountian top,, anyone who has tried and failed,, if ya really wannna quit, Get a e cig starter kit, and dont look back. I've coverted about 20 smokers so far, and I've only just begun. Save a friends life, turn them on to E cigs, it's really the most you can do for any smoker who wants to quit. In a perfect world respiratory therapist only want you to inhale a cool mountian breeze, then theres reality, people smoke and inhale bad things by choice or not, and too me as a RT as far as E cigs go 40 fairly controlled benign substances is alot better than 4000 uncontrolled substances many proven to cause cancer and even a ol corn cob pipe hillbilly understands that,,,,,, A good respiratory therapist wont judge your smoking and inhaled LA smog, workplace fumes or chemicals , or those years working in a hashish den , We deal with the after effects, and try our best to educate, but for years we have had nothing to offer smokers who want to quit,,, Patches + gum , only work for about 5%. Chantix maybe 10% but more drugs,, then what in six months when momma dies more chantix or a smoke.....Hypnosis, gimmie a break. accupunture ,,,what ever......There will always be people who abuse tobacco, just like alcohol, and a hundred other substances. Some can smoke for forty years before a flight of stairs is a daunting task, some it may only take twenty, and a asthmatic smoker,, well you can guess,, . But no matter what , and you can quote me,,,,, "everyone quits smoking,,, sooner or later" My professional statement on E cigs,,:

" E-cigs make quitting cigarettes possible for those who have tried other methods and failed. "
