I think I may have stopped smoking. Can't remember when I had my last one, and not feeling like I will be having another one anytime soon.

If I had to guess, it was probably 2 weeks ago, but it's not a date that I care to recall, nor put a banner up. When I quit cold turkey in the 90's, then that sort of thing seemed very important to me, but not so much anymore.

eCigs, or more precisely, vaping simply takes care of the cravings. You don't think it'll work that well the first time you hear of it, much less the first few puffs you have of it. But reality is, it works way way better than every other method I'm familiar with, including cold turkey. I still think cold turkey is the best method of them all, but not necessarily the easiest, nor the easiest to stick to.

Just 2 weeks ago, I was a proud moderate smoker. I've been vaping over 2 years now, and was pleased as punch to go from 1+ pack a day down to less than a pack a week. Heck, I'm still proud of that desire to be a moderate smoker. I refuse to hate on smoking, just like I refused it when I went cold turkey. I still think anyone / everyone that has a problem with any level of smoking, isn't being helpful. I just can't see a problem with having a smoke say every other day. No health problem, no economic problem, no real psychological problem. Perhaps a societal problem, but whatever. I still think moderate smoking rules. In 2014, I've bought exactly one pack of smokes. Up to 2014, I didn't think such a proposition was possible, and now I know it is, and it is even more liberating than cessation. Believe me, I've gone cold turkey for 8 years, and feel I know of what I speak.

Yet, the cravings have disappeared so much and am dealing with just enough health stuff to have me consider another indefinite break from smoking. 2 weeks ago, I didn't think that would happen, and yet here I am. A not-so-proud non-smoker, but still happy.

Because vaping rules.

I love my banner! I like the fact that I can look at it daily to see my progress and note the amount of cigarettes that I haven't smoked. The money saved, while secondary, is important to me since I know my vaping expenses, including the toys I've bought, is easily offset buy the amount I've saved.

I'm in awe everyday, but then, I'm easily entertained.

I suppose it all depends on the reason(s) you're avoiding cigarettes. To me, even an occasional smoke is unacceptable. It signals my failure to stop smoking - even if they're two-weeks apart. I have the very same health issue I youthfully and arrogantly swore I wouldn't have when I was smoking. That arrogance has now cost me my health.

Since I quit, I've discovered that I can enjoy and satisfy my nicotine addiction in a painless and healthier manner than before. So for me, tobacco was the culprit that I had to (and still do) avoid. No more poisons in my lungs for the sake of getting my nicotine fix.

Today I am happy to say, that "smoke-free" is for real in my life. I could not have done that without the help of e-cigs. From my very first puff of an e-cig I knew my smoking days were numbered. It took another few days to give analogs the boot, but it's been 2 1/2 years since that day. My banner is a constant reminder of that liberation, and the higher its count, the better I feel. I'm infinitely glad that going "cold turkey" is not an option I have to entertain, or constantly live with the fear of regression.

Me, too! I am starting to see that I am ahead of the game $$ wise now. I am done with the shiny-itis (I think) and just buying juice. I probably have enough of that to last a long time, too, but I keep wanting try new vendors and new tastes or even variations on tastes that I already know I love. It is the cig count that really floats my boat!:rickroll:
