Hi everyone. I primarily use Smoktech cartos 3.2ohms. I always check the ohms on my Provari or Vamo 3 when I prime a new carto and fill a tank. In general it has always been around 3.2 ( give or take 1-2 ohms off some times ).

Well, I primed a carto about 3 days ago, filled up my carto tank, and checked my ohms and it was 3.2 exactly. By mistake, I was going to check my battery level on my Provari and ended up on the ohms read out. It stated 2.4 ohms. So I checked another 3 times, even waited 10 mins in between and still same thing. I then checked it on my Vamo 3 and stated 2.4 as well. I know for a fact this carto stated 3.2 bran new when it was primed and in a full carto tank.

I don't have a burnt taste and the carto seems to be working fine. Why would the ohms go down so drastically?

How exactly can I check my coils? The only thing I can do is look straight down the middle of the carto which I can see through easily.

Get a pair of tose X-Ray vision glasses or perhaps get Super MAn to check it out for you.

Seriously some do not read prior post and just respond in general. Many devices do infact have coils which can be views , replaced or maintained but not a carto packed with filler material all around / on top of the coil(s). If one is really desperate at times with care the filler material can be removed , coil(s) dry burned and fresh filler used to repack it but that is a lot of tropuble to samve a couple of bucks unless......
