The VTC4 is a good battery but only is a 2100mAh.
The VTC5 is a 2600mAh battery but normally way over priced :(

Easiest way to explain the mAh of a battery is to think of it like a gas tank on a car. :?:
So the VTC4 holds 2100 gallons of gas and the VTC5 holds 2600 gallons.

Samsung and LG both make 2500mAh batteries,

but the other day, someone mention the LG 18650HG2 3000mAh 20a
I haven't tried them yet, But with 3000mAh I might have to.

The thing these batteries all have in common is they don't have the name SONY on them,
so most people don't jack the prices up on them.
I avoid any battery with the word fire in the name, and I won't buy Efest because they exaggerate the battery stats. But besides that I look at the Amps and the mAh.
There's a bunch of good batteries out there, and I rather pay for the extra hundred mAh then a Name.
wanted to get one of those but saw on some review that 25+A discharge was recommended, those i believe are 20A, so decided to buy SONY's and sacrifice battery life for safety.

Best wat to get a independent review on batts is mooch' reviews and as far as amps go the Sony vct4 I believe is the ONlY batt that lives up to its standards as a TRUE 30a CONTINUOUs discharge withough going into catastrophic thermal runaway so as Least as far as my hybrids and mechs go nothing else goes in them especailly at what I build them (.22) vct5s are not a true 30a batt all other batteries should simply be labeled 20a so people don't get themselves injured

Well, I didn't get vape mail but I got the next best thing! Gifts of e-liquid! I am now the proud owner of 2 bottles of diablo drip (which is a snickerdoodle custard flavor) and two bottles of smurfberries e-liquid by Cloud 9. :)

And, I am so so so tired. This is my second break of the day, but I have been up since 3am and I may just drop very soon.. lol..

Happy Labor Day!

That is what I ordered for just that reason!

From the test results he's done I only buy the vct4s for my low builds I have 4 mech only vct4s (under .4) and I have 1 set of Samsung 25rs that I rotate with a seperate set of vct4s that I use in my ipv3 other than about 20 18350 AW batts that I use for tanks I build over 1.0 ohms and and 1 mxjo 2500mqh 18650 I have asked his opinion on but as far as now he has not done a full stress test in them so I'll err on the side of caution and his opinion and use it as a 20a batt for the time being

Last year it seemed the market was flooded with fake Sony batteries :glare: So I guess since then I been leaning away from them.
And I'm not talking about eBay or Amazon selling fakes but even the authorize Sony distributors found that some of their stock were fakes.
And even further up the food chain to where the company or companies that the distributors got their stock from, were even surprised that what they were selling wasn't real.

August of last year the Plumes of Hazard talked about the Sony battery, the fakes Sony's and how when meeting with a Rep from Sony, he was shocked that their batteries were being cloned.
They talk about how far one company went in the making of their Sony clone.
I'm pretty sure I can't post the actual video because of the language they use :(
But I think I can post the link with a WARNING Adult Language
"The Plumes of Hazard Episode 31: Highway to the Ranger Zone"
Go to around 105 in the video and you can hear what was said.

That was last summer though, I think Sony's plan was to flood the market with real batteries once their new factory was running at 100%.

according to the Specs on a MXJO 35a, it is likely a Samsung 25r/b-grade that is re-wrapped. MXJO is not a manufacturer.

Umm.....why do we always say Re-wrapped? I doubt the factory wraps then test then rejects.

Actually Lithium batteries are made from flat sheet with the mix smoothed across the surface. The sheet is then chopped to length(like 65mm) chopped to size for a 35mm diameter and rolled into around tube. it is then fitted into its housing and capped.

** The flat sheets tend to have less lithium material at the ends and those sections are the ones that become B/C grade cells.
b/c cells are cased and shipped to secondary suppliers.
Waste not want not.

Starting to think I'm spending to much time on Google late at night.
