I can remember way back when people used VCR's
There was hundreds on the market, but for the most part, only 3 companies actually made them, Panasonic, JVC, and Sony, then other companies would put their name on them.

Do you remember having to pay fines at the video rental store for not rewinding the tape? lol.. I used to hate that, and inevitably, I always ended up paying it periodically!

I remember scotch taping a tape that broke back together cause the guy at the video shop was a real jerk and tried to charge people well over a hundred dollars for replacing an old used tape. He would buy tapes from one of the big rental stores in Fresno and relabel them. I ran into him one day with 2 or 3 boxes of used movies on his way to his car.

Oh wow, I never had to do that, thank goodness! But yeah, I remember many of the video stores would charge a fortune "if you broke the tape" ... I was lucky enough never to have one break on me though!
It didn't happen yesterday so it's not soon enough.............................soon................
