Well went and bought a new kennedy rda to cure my shinyitis (for now). do i wish my cloud machine was already in hand? You betcha? But stuff happens, and for me its out of my control so it will get here when it gets here. big thanks to @Midnightalaskan for getting the low down from madvapes.

wow people need to chill. just because people are mad doesn't mean they're not grateful. people are upset because they got a bunch of conflicting info and then when they get told things are on the way they are told it could be another month. there is no need to be arguing with each other. if a company is going to learn anything from this thread it will be how not to do things. i bet next time smok does one they will be better prepared for it and it will go smoother. from my understanding this is the first time they have done one.
i have run forums and moderated them, we did giveaways also. one of the keys to keeping people happy is a accurate flow of info. if something goes wrong let people know there will be a delay, don't be silent about it and then be like ok things are moving along. the moment there is a breakdown in the info people get mad. being a winner gives you every right to be mad about lack of/miss info. sure the item is free but u are promised something. the company is giving you its word that you'll get the item, a person/company is only as good as their word. with that said yes i know we are getting them but for a little bit it looked like we wouldn't see them.
normally when a company does a giveaway they give that priority over sales as it is cheap advertisement. they make sure the people are happy because if not it will get around. people will go they cant handle a giveaway so they cant handle purchases, it looks bad for them. people will leave negative reviews and that also looks bad. im not mad at madvapes, im disappointed in smok. they should have let them know before the contest even started, not after it was pretty much over. madvapes had this dropped on them and is now dealing with the fallout from it. if madvapes had been informed sooner they would have been better prepared. i was pretty ticked off at madvapes earlier as i had almost no sleep, now not so much. from the sounds of it smok dropped two contest on them.
i just hope the 19 people whose kits where not in the shipment get them as smok made it sound like they sent them all out. also i dont think i have seen anyone bashing any company. voicing that you are upset at a company is not bashing, if they where calling names that would be bashing. i think people need to step away for a bit and cool off, that's what i did. I'm no longer mad but still disappointed with how this has been handled.

If I see bashing I'll post my opinion it's a forum and my right as a contest winner who has no problem with how things have been handled

ya know, I am excited about winning one - do i want it? sure! looking forward to it - going to be giving it to my brother in law, as he has 3 kids, limited budget and started vaping recently to quit dipping copenhagen (and it's working!)
i appreciate ECF partnering in this contest - and I think Smok could have done a better job with logistics and communications... I think Madvapes is now in the unenviable position of having to do - to the best of their ability - clean up on a logistical mess... it is what it is...
i appreciate the heads up from midnightalaskan about expectations at this point, regarding shipping
i am not going to get too wound up on the delays or ensuing issues - it is what it is - i am going to try to accept with good grace that it's a bit of a cluster, as I would like ECF and the team here to be willing to continue to run these contests, as they help to foster the positive and uplifting aspects of the community that has helped me - and a lot of others - to make a postive change in my life... could Smok have done a better job with organization, sure - but is the angst worth undermining the positives? to me, it is not
just my opinion - right, wrong or indifferent - and everyone is entitled to theirs as well

Technically, while I am patient and willingly waiting, I would be out. I have already made purchased to accompany this Mod and Tank. No I cannot afford to go out and Purchase one at this time, so that would be money invested and lost.
