I have been using my Magneto for 2 solid weeks now .. no issues at all. I've tried a bunch of different things on it and have settled with a Pro tank (with rebuilt head @ around 1.0 ohms).

The PT looks pretty nice on the Magneto. Not as nice as my RSST or even my IGO-L, perhaps . . but I just like rebuilding and using the ProTank better for right now. My #1 issue with my coil building is getting it to wick properly and I seem to have good luck with the bottom-coil design.

Things I have tried that worked on Magneto:
Protank
RSST
IGO-L clone
Cyclone clone
Pheonix v5 clone
Cisco Spec 306 and 510

So far, I have not tried any device that wouldn't fire due to the non-adjustable pin.

In back to back comparisons with the v3 Sentinel clone, I feel like the Magneto has a bit more of a voltage drop. This is just swapping the same battery and topper back and forth between the 2 mods and doing subjective testing . .I don't have a way to accurately measure.

I can also confirm that the Odysseus and Terminator C work as well. Course, that's no big surprise as the positive post sticks out lower than the 510 threads.

just got my magneto today! LOOOOOVEEE it!

It works on my Cobra, my AGA-t, and RSST. I actually only have a gap when using the RSST, the other RBAs are flush when I connect them to the 510 connection and then screw that on the mod. I will be going thru my RDAs but I foresee no issues.

I paid $35 from vaping craze for the magneto (they have a crazy sale on the logo version) as well as their "deal of the day" on the RSSTs.

This thing hits almost as hard as my k100 (unsanded) so Im very pleased!

That's easily taken care by adjusting the center pin out a bit on the rsst. Together, sitting flush, it's quite nice.

Well... Two weeks in with this device. This is my first mechanical except for my roughstack. So far, no issues whatsoever.
I clean it about once a week, just pull it apart and use a paper towel to wipe off all the friction points, contact points, and threads.
I did use my dremel with a polishing wheel and compound to polish up the machining finish on the "post" of the button. That helped to smooth out the slight roughness that was going on when the button was pressed off-center. I also hit the outside face of the button as well, but the machine finish is a little deep for that to make much impact.
Overall, I'm really impressed with the quality of the build, considering. Everyone that has looked at it is as well. I could do without the "smok" logo, or the silly spider, but it's kinda moot.
I've used an Igo-L, two mini-rda's, a full size RDA, a "Scar" RDA, carto tank, AGA-T. No issues with firing.
Two thumbs up, so far.

looks like they now pack it with 2 different top caps: 2013 best e-cigarette 18350 full mechanical mod smoktech magneto mod with telescopic tube, View smoktech magneto mod, smoktech Product Details from Shenzhen Smok Technology Co., Ltd. on Alibaba.com
(not sure about the adjustable pin, tho')

Did yours provide both?

but crap... when I saw the link from TriangleVape, I just wanted to spam the Pre-Order button: the released date falls right on my B-Day! is it a sign? :p
Unfortunately, I need to find another providers who can ship out of the US.

So we need to get the Magneto connector with ego thread , thats a little bit taller has a cutout in the top plate for the ego cone threading and a flat head screw on the pin. or does the none ego one have an adjustable pin too?
that website is too confusing they have 10 diffent listings with the same model numbers but diffent pictures

Somebody please order 50 magneto ego connectors " dont need the ego but Ido want adjustable" and sell me one;)

Has anyone thought about vent hole modding on this?

To what end? There are already 4 of them on the switch cap, you just can't see them unless you remove it. Personally, I think that's plenty. But then again, I haven't heard of anyone's battery venting in one of these yet, so who knows if they're effective!

Most tube mechs I've looked at have a few at the top tube as well, not real concerned as I don't plan on doing anything subohm past a .8 or .9 on an RSST. Just wondered if anyone had put any thought to it...

If you guys think an RSST looks nice on this, you should see the AC9 atop one :)

I would bet that looks good! I love the way my Odysseus and Ithakas look on it. Don't know how long I'll use it though, I finally ordered a Chi You and can't wait for that to get here.

for those who may be having trouble with the magneto bottom mag button and miss fires there is an easy fix .

first unscrew the button
second there is a gold colored ring on the inside around the magnet ... unscer it from the magnet and the button should slide out
third now that its appart clean the insid of the button
, the hole that the button slides though it gets real dirty and can not transfer electrisity well... it should look gold in color when its clean use a paper towel thats moist.
fourth clean the button its self ... mainly the shaft that slides through the hole you just cleaned.

now put the button back through the hole and screw the gold ring back on slots facing up.
and screw the button assembly back on.

if you want wile its appart you can punch out the delrin plastic spacer from the body of the mod. push it out through the bottom wile the button is removed. this may take some force as mine was glued in but came out just fine with light tapping.
once its out remove the plastic ring from the magnetic battery contact and then unscrew the magnet from the plastic plug, but be carfull there is a pring inside ... the spring is simply to acomadate diff size batterys and this mod will operate fine without if if you desire or you can replace it with a spring of your own to make the battery seat better when screwing the mod shut.
once you unscrew it clean all the parts and threads there are only 5 the plastic plug the plastic washer/ring the magnet assembly the spring and the gold negitive battery contact looks like a cap the sping goes inside .

once things are clean reassemble it
put the negitive (gold cap)post in the plug
put the spring in the cap
put the nipple part of the magnet assembly in the center of the spring and screw it into the plastic plug
put the plastic washer on the plug assembly
insert the plug assembly into the bottom of the mod tube sring nipple end first so the magnet it facing out
screw on the button

your mod should hit hard as hell now and the button should work flawlessly

there is also a fix for the first gen magneto top cap to give it a adjustable pos post
but you need a spare natural topcap to do it and i wasnt going to destroy my natural to make it happen but

all you have to do is unscrew the positive post (the brass screw and plastic plug) from the natural cut the plastic plug in half and screw it into the magneto the screw the pos post in the plug . there you go the naturals adjustable 510 in the magneto

ohh you have to punch out the magneto 510 pos conector first its glued in

i tried this and it fit and worked only i didnt keep it that way as it meant i would loose my natural
