Okay, so I have been frustrated in my micro-coil efforts with my RSST, since the wick seems to struggle to "keep up" with the coil.
Here is my solution.
I have really enjoyed this rich, thick vapor production from this little 1.9 ohm micro-coil at 4 volts. It really is staggering how much vapor is produced from it...
Did you try removing the insulator from the wick port? It makes the space bigger, and bigger is better for wicks.
See what I did there?
Tapped out
Wanna know a secret?Great build, AND great photography!
Yes sir. Organic cotton balls from CVS. I just grabbed a long piece, rolled a portion of it and stuck it down through the wick hole and left an unrolled portion at the top to make the bed. The juice is Astro by Spacejam. It wicks pretty well, but I think I can get it to wick better on my next build by trying a couple different things. I will post again after trying them. This was my first shot at it, so I still need to perfect it.Yes, excellent picture. This is a cotton build, correct? What juice is that? Wicks good?
Finally picked up an RSST, so I built it with a micro coil/PID set up. I'm stoked that I was actually able to make a usable set up on my first attempt. I really NEED to drill out the airhole though. The stock draw is way too tight for me.

8 wraps, 30g, 1.8 ohms.
Exactly. It's been working pretty well so far, but it just randomly started having wicking issues with the fill plug in. No matter how much I tilt, the cotton just won't get wet. Remove the fill plug and it works perfectly. I'd really rather keep the fill plug in to keep this thing pocket friendly. Is there any work around for this issue? So as best I can tell you didn't go through the coil? You just made a bed under it?

Drill an another air hole to avoid vacuum..i also use it as a fill hole too. First 1/8 drill till your almost there..then use a small bit large enough to fit a needle tip to make your puncture.

28g nichrome 5 wrap microcoil
Using the correct amount of cotton is tricky...i get it to wick correctly by poking a needle to let some air flow

Where is your original fill hole?
Edit: Oddly enough, I can remove the fill plug and hold the atty upside down and it won't leak from the fill hole. I'm so confused. Lol
