I figure I would reach out to you since I can't get any info from smoktech or any local shop. I lost this silicone piece that wraps around the metal on my tank. Not sure what it's for and can't seem to find a replacement anywhere. I'm not sure if the purpose is to seal the tank better or prevent a short if mesh was to hit it. Any idea would be appreciated. Hopefully the pic does justice.

For sure it's not there to prevent a short, glass is non-conductive. I don't have a pyrex RSST. Ordered a PolyCarb one (weary of leaks) a week ago from Kidney Puncher but it's still in transit.

I looked carefully at all pics I could find of a pyrex version of the RSST and can only see an o-ring for a seal (top of the tank at least, none shows the bottom clearly). If that's what you need, then a hardware store is your best bet. OTOH, if it's only a flat separator for the glass tube, possibly to isolate it from heat, then you should be ok as far as leaks go. Real pyrex glass should be good for some 400°C at least so that's not an issue. ¿Why don't you call Chris or Missy at Kidney Puncher and ask if there's a spare part?

At first I thought it was a seal but it doesn't seem to be the case. If it were so, as an interim solution I would suggest getting a wee bit of head gasket liquid from your nearest car mechanic and with a toothpick put a bead around the base of the resistance chamber, It will cure to a highly heat resistant gasket and you can trim the excess with an exacto knife afterwards.
