I found this at GotVapes in their Alpha section, is the Avalon anything like this?View attachment 125536

Here's a pic of the Avalon and the Bully.

The Avalon is the one on the left. It's got a rebuildable atty hidden under the aluminium piece, and a tank under the atty.

I"m I the only one confused, by the way F1 and F2 functions work.

I seem to be getting F1 and F2 a lot on homemade mesh coils for some reason. (The coils will work perfectly with most other mods, but put if I put them on the vmax, I get F1 or F2 and have to mess around with them a bit to get them working)

Nice, I don't think any US suppliers have any as yet. I will certainly keep an eye open for it, thanks

How many drops can you put in it?
About 10-15.If you use cotton as wick it soaks up an incredible amount of nicuid.I double drag(draw...etc)and it recovers immediately it seems.
Side note:just ordered my SS rev 4(5?)Blue display from Vaporalley.I got a shorty blue dt to match, shipped it was $77.38! I know some coupon codes ;)
Oh and I use Optimo's tip about wick going up in the chamber for the phoenix rba, thanks,I use 2.

The main flaw is that the Vmax produces thin, hot, less flavor vapor. I've tried everything from atties to cartos to ce's and RBA's.

The vmax is just supplying the power. The atty produces the vapor...

If you're getting thin flavourless vapor, then there's a problem with whatever you have on top of the vmax.

More importantly is juice.Have you been using a different nicuid than normal,or the same getting these results?

This V2/R4 SS VMax has a longer memory than the V1 it seems like...I know I took more than 30 secs to change my batts and it saved my settings. It hasn't made the buzzing sound either. Took my other RA off the V1 that was buzzing and it doesn't do it on the V2.

I'll have to time it for the review.

Good news optimo, I hope it's now a non issue with the V2

In Jimis defense, and I know this because we speak, he was having issues with his SS mesh RBA and the Max, as am I and a few others. Thin, hot vapor is exactly what happens with the dreaded attack of the bumble bees

His atty is now set up perfectly and I saw a video of him blowing clouds so big on another VV it made me green with envy

Hey Lava....On my Fusions I usually stay at 3-3.5 volts, just start off at 3v and after 2-3 draws go up in .1v increments till you get that sweet spot you prefer. On dual coils I find that the 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0Ω ohm Dual Coils perform much better than the 1.5Ω DC's on the VMAX. I use the 2Ω DC's mostly at 4-4.4v, I think Fuzzi runs the 2.5Ω at 4.5v, and the 3.0Ω I run at 4.5-4.8v. Hope this helps.

** This is the main reason Fuzzi started this thread** Perfect example of a ideal post Q & A.....I think ...lol

Indeed J, I've run my 2.5 DC's up to 5.5v on a v1 vmax depending on the juice, with perfect results. I'll state again that the ST DC's were most inconsistent for me. Perhaps got a bad batch. The ones that worked well (1 of every 5 or so) were excellent however.

Although Lava_Man's question is very much one contemplated by this thread, I would also remind everyone that at no time was this thread intended as a 'love only' fanboy commentary for the vmax, hence the term 'quirks' in the thread title. Negative commentary, critique, problems with the vmax and solutions, design improvement discussions and respectful debates, all of this is encouraged also. Such information can be very helpful to both present owners and future potential customers.

There is a way to voice criticism on an 'owners thread' and a way not to. I'm sure most people know the difference yet some come here to bash the vmax just to stir the pot/troll as they believe this thread has a wider audience for their rants. You want to bash the device? Start another thread (some have). Provari vs. vmax? Buy American vs. Chinese? Well there are other threads for that too. Go crazy.

But an owners thread is just that. Anyone who comes here to say 'it sucks' without proper foundation or that we've all bought 'subpar' devices, or for that matter insult the very posters who have built this thread with positive contributions, is entirely inappropriate and simply have no place here. There are numerous people who remain quite happy with their decision to buy a vmax. Some respect should be shown for these people. They're not all idiots who don't know what they've bought. In fact, I think they're pretty smart to have selected a device that offers excellent value.

I want to personally thank everyone here who has taken the time and effort to contribute meaningfully to this thread. To the others I would simply quote Classwife's words, who states most eloquently:

Off topic posts.

Had to get that off my chest, back to regularly scheduled programming :)

OK folks I remember their being a VMAX owner that purchased a KAYFUN MINI a while back and I'm curious how it worked out for them. If you are that person would you mind posting more info about it and get some pics of the internals and how exactly it works. Their aren't any real pics on the site of the internals so I'm trying to find out the ins and outs of this unit before my purchase. TIA. And Martin if you could maybe do the same with the unit you have, I'm trying to figure out how juice gets to the coil/wick. Any pics would greatly help.

Careful. I'm pretty sure the thread will be closed if we all post pictures of our unit.

P.S. VAPNJ, check your PMs and let me know if you're still on board.

But think of all the likes we'd get! Plus, a whole new comparison battle would commence. I'm betting in that competition the Vmax owners would hold their own!

I'm waiting for vapemail - is it worth a try to use the 2.4 ohm Vivi Nova tank on the Max?

Very true.

Regarding your question, I didn't have a lot of success with the 2.4 heads, but the 2.8s are working well for me. You have to keep the voltage in the low 3s or you'll vaporize the juice faster than the vivi nova can wick, and you'll get dry hits. If you modify the heads for better juice flow, you might be able to go higher.
