Smoktech Vmax Owners - tips, tricks and quirks

I really like the 801 fusion 2.5 ohm, that's all I've used on one PV since September, ended up getting an 801 top cap for it.

Thanks to both Paulie and Mark. Good leads. The Electronicstix pricing is excellent together with very reasonable international shipping rates. Will likely go that route.

So, for the vmax is the 2.9ohm in the XL 801 Fusion size (plus adapter) the route to go? I'm presently using the ST DCT's and assume they'll fit well. Was tempted to also grab a J-tank at Electronicstix but they have no stock on the ones I like.

Guess I'll have to dig out that 1/16" cobalt drill tip that I have...somewhere.

I really hope this will be worth the effort. I'm not disatisfied with my ST dual coils, flanged and predrilled which is convenient. I don't mind going through the drilling effort if there is a substantial improvement in vape quality but if it's only like a 10-15% improvement over the ST's I wouldn't consider it worth the effort. Any thoughts from anyone who has tried both the fusions and ST DC's in a tank?

They all look so damned cool but the coolest ones seem really hard to get. Please feel free to chime in here if you've used one of these to good advantage on the vmax.

I am going on 2 weeks and 2 days tomorrow and that's NO LIE bro!

Incredibly, I have a 2.5ohm ST DC going for exactly 1 month and 1 day. Although I'm only using this one approx. 1/2 the time. With a 70/30 mix at 4.7v this one just keeps going and to this day vapes like a champ with no foul taste. I think I've gotten my $2 worth out of it

The FUSION is the ONLY cartos I use now and I vape about 8ml a day 50%PG-50%VG FOUR HOLE PUNCH PATTERN! TWO HOLES at the TOP and TWO HOLES at the BOTTOM! Same ONE carto for 2 weeks! In NO WAY, shape or form, I am trying to push the FUSIONS on ANYONE! I am just trying to get the word out about the Boge 801 Fusions or the Ikenvape 801 Fusions! They are an OUTSTANDING carto! I like the Boge 510 cartos, but the Fusions HANDS DOWN have a WAY BETTER draw!

I know the 510 to 801 shorties are a lot CHEAPER at Carolina Vapes...$2.49! As for shipping, I will have to get back to you on that!

Woah. At 8ml's a day I'd say you have used yours far more extensively than I've used my ST. OK I'm sold even though you're not selling

Naaa. I was sold on these long ago when initially recommended by both you and VAPNJ. I'm still trying a whole range of stuff to find that sweet spot that I can stick with and I'll be adding these to the collection for sure.

What tank are you using them with Freddie? And again, on the vmax do you prefer the 2.9ohm?

I used a PHINIAC XL tank with XL 2.9 ohm Fusion carto! The reason why I said USED is because my APARTMENT got broken into and ALL my VAPE STUFF got STOLEN, but I'm slowly climbing back to yhe TOP again!

Any news on when the chrome vmax's are to be released?

My black Vmax occasionally resets to 5V. I figured it was due to the batteries being low, but it just did it on a fresh set.


I’m stuck on the ST duel core 1.5 ohm through my tank. Same carto over a month. 100% VG gorilla juice at 4.4 to 4.7 volts.
I can't get the knack of the Atty's. Great vape but I always end up getting a dry hit.

My friend just bought it today.. unlucky for him he drop it while taking a drag.. the front end open and the wire's been cut off from the electronic.. help him to patch up the wire's and it work.. now im worry about my vmax if it drop.. need extra careful while handling it.. just to share

I have been using a VMax since mid April. eGo LR carts and LR eGo Tanks do not work well even at 3.0 volt setting. Much to hot vapor production and a quick burn out of the heater in the atty.

I love the eGo C Type B setups for cool, smooth vapor production with very little bother. very easy to clean and refill.

My next order or so I will be trying the standard Resistance atty inserts. Hope those will allow me to use the VMax with the eGo Tank systems.

With the VMax I have been using a generic 4 ml tank with a 2.8 ohm single hole flanged single coil cart. Works well
