Scott Bonner did a review on something that looks like that , piece of crap IMO

A link would be helpful.

Edit: Saw the link after I posted the above, thanks.

2nd Edit: Guess I'm spoiled by Busardo's review where you get to actually see what the unit is doing. This review really didn't tell me much except to wait for a Busardo review' :) At least it removed any temptation to jump into one right away. It appears to act quite a bit like the original Tox.

Thanks Mveraldi

Oh, I can guarantee we're gonna be seeing a ton of ZMax knockoffs soon, BUT will they be 'tuned' properly? That's what I want to see.

Were you thinking of anything in particular at vaporbeast? All I see are 2.5amp and possibly a 3amp unit, all of which have been at most vendors for months. The item I linked to is a new item on the market as far as I can tell.

Something new that some may be interested in is MVs clone of the ZMax for $72 delivered. Smoktech Zmax Variable Volt APV

Edit: The 10% discount code for the $72 price is "LOVETOVAPE". Free shipping over $75

So, I put my vmax in my pocket with a vivi nova tank and the top cap came off and broke the positive and negative wires free from the solder points on the board. I usually take off whatever I have attached to the device before pocketing it, but alas I failed to do that this time. I was wearing quite loose fitting jeans at the time, but whatever.

Tomorrow I plan to try to solder the wires back to the circuit board. Then I'll either gorilla glue or jb weld the top cap on once and for all. I'm thinking of ordering a provari to take with me out and about and relegate the vmax to home use, due to the lack of sturdiness. But before I go buying a provari that's double the price of the vmax (provape really nickels and dimes their customers imho) does the zmax have the same press fit top cap design?

I honestly hate to spend so much money, but I need something that's more durable.

I just had to send my Vmax back to the vendor..... :( The center post in mine was abnormally loose and would slide down too far just from average use. I never tightened anything down to tight on it, as I was aware of the possible damage. I had read this entire thread before purchase....lol. The center post would work its way down while I was vaping and I would have to gingerly raise it with an eyeglass screw driver. It was worst with my mini vivi nova, but did the same with some cartos and atys I had. So I returned it hoping to get a replacement, but my vendor has discontinued the Vmax and is now selling the Zmax. I can not afford the upgrade right now so am getting a Smok VV Gripper to get me by till I can buy a Zmax.......I will miss my Vmax..... But will be excited when I can get a Zmax...... :)
