ukeman, thank you! I have a ProVari V2 and an AVA SR. Even at 6 volts, the hit is decent, but leaves much to be desired for a $50 atty.

I just pulled the trigger on the VMax as it came with two IMRs and was $90 for the 4th of July :)

Now I'll go on with my night feeling degenerate for owning two VV mods, lol.

Thanks Again!!

anyway, I was not liking my AVA ($40) atty so much; the flavor was there, but it seemed the vapor was too moist ... now it's performing like an atty that better be better than anything else... i had just cleaned it after a second week, so either it's come to life or the VMax is making a difference.
I tried it on the PRovari at 3.5v and yes, improved, but not quite as good as with the VMax.... :p... I think i might order another AVA, an SR this time...

Hmm, I wrapped mine like Martin and have not had my coil pop nore do I have a hot spot issue but one thing I did is remove the 2 top nuts and just wrapped my kanthal directly around the post(saves alot of time and hassle like this). I think this may have made the distance at the bottom screw and top post equal and thats why it is working fine like this??

Same. Have wrapped both ways and could not discern a difference. I'm not ready to remove my nuts just yet; they still work fine.

Anyone know why a vmax flashes 123456789? My batts are reading 8v. Not fresh but current reading. Thanks.

Just saw the above post. I have aw, the red batts that came with it and efest batts. It is driving me batty..

I also notice sometimes when I check my batts, they are at 6v and I have no warning that they are that low.

Well as Freddie said " fit and finish on SS Vmax is outstanding" (something like that), he sure was correct.
One thing that I was wondering about is if they had gone to a two piece end cap as V1 is one piece Brass) with socket. well SS is one piece brass as well , I am not complaining just commenting. Attached is a picture of 510 connection on first Vmax that I bought. WARNING this picture could be disturbing, and by the way I received it this way and in no way did I do this. Of course the supplier replaced it without incident. View attachment 114775

mine did that with the regular red batts too and they were toasted when i tested with a voltmeter. use the efest batteries and if you have the flat top make sure you use the magnet..those red batts in the VMAX didn't work very well for me.

i have since changed over to the efest and haven't looked back

I have just been informed by ECF administration that there is a strong possibility the Vmax will will get its own subforum in the near future. Certain VV Forum updates are intended and consideration is being given to providing a specific spot for the vmax. Although the timing is uncertain, as this will be undertaken as part of a larger initiative, I think it's safe to say we can all take this as a good sign.

I strongly believe that not only was the popularity of this thread instrumental for such consideration, but also the visible genuine desire of all the participants here to help one another, share information and avoid unnecessary friction. Thanks to everyone once again for contributing.

I think it will be very helpful to vmax owners, new and old alike, that the enormous amount of information compiled in this thread be better organized in its own subforum.

on a side note, i got some boge fusions regular size and cut down a dct tank to make a shorty but this thing tastes like burnt crap. how many holes do i need?

WhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaT !!!??? Burnt crap ??? Your not wicking enough or somethin. Take that carto out, you can't fix em once their burnt. The carto itself holds 1.2mL of juice. If you cut the DCT like mine it should hold around 2+ mL. This is how I do it and I've NEVER EVER EVER had a burnt taste or carto yet.

Put 1.5mL of juice in a syringe.....put the white cap in the carto......slide the carto in the tank......take off white cap......fill carto "SLOWLY" till wet at top and full.......put cap back on......slide carto down just a tad......fill up tank 3/4 full......slide carto back up....white cap off.......drip tip in.........3-6 DRY PULLS OR UNTIL you see tiny bubbles come out of 1 of the holes in carto....................VAPE THE BEST FLAVOR EVERRRRRRR !!!

I PUT 5 HOLES IN THE STANDARD SIZE FUSIONS. And never get flooding. 2 at the bottom, opposite sites.....2, 1/4" above the bottom holes adjacent to them(opposite sides) ..........and 1 at the very top under the top cap facing you when you take a vape. Yes it's a lot of holes but many will atest it does make a difference and works VERY VERY well. Good luck if you have any questions feel free to PM me anytime. FYI.... I use 60/40 pg/vg and have NO ISSUE.

Vmax is great...only thing that sucks so far is the Vivi nova tastes horrible.

Ok Grumpus, whats happening with your vivi?

Is it a version 2.5? Whats the ohms of the atty in it? Does it have short wicks, or wicks to the bottom of the tank? What juice and its composition Pg/VG? And last, what voltage are you vaping at?

Fill me in.

Oh and vapnj I ordered some of them fusions. Did you ever get/try a vivi on your vmax yet??

When you switch batteries in a V2 unit it displays 123,456,789...then the screen goes black. The red 3 digit number display is set to off automatically but the unit is ready to vape, all you need to do is go to #6 and turn on the red display. The blue led is permanently on now in the new versions.

But I can't get into the menu at all, it doesn't vape either. All it does is flash the numbers while blinking the blue button led, then nothing.

i have red efest bats, both measured at 4V.
