No Idea where they come from,it was a guy on one of the other threads costa said he had a Blue LED Vmax model coming in 6 days ;o) said he would post pics on here when he received it !!!!!

It's probably a knock-off :D

Seriously, I'd be interested in something like this also as a 2nd vmax. Would like to hear of any improvements first and particularly if the 'chrome' finish looks like something that might last a while or peel off in a month.

For those interested Fazed has his vmax part 2 review up now.

SmokTech V-MAX Review: Round 2 - YouTube

I don't agree with all his opinions but I believe they are far more qualified than his Part 1 review.

Interesting that he could not get the device to see its 5amp limit but this isn't surprising to me. I think it would turn into a light sabre at that output in any event.

Even though I'll eventually be interested in a 2nd Vmax with all the milder tuning and other possible improvements, I'm sort of glad in a way that I got this early version; thus far it is functioning well for me. Reminds me of when they used to release the 1st year muscle cars only to have the public scream in horror, prompting subsequent year 'milder' versions.

Our early ones might turn out to be 'the collector's' edition with the 'special' factory tuning. :D

Given that the device seems to fit 18350's too tight, I'm still scratching my head over why you guys aren't just using 16340's. I know some of you are and well, A+ to you.

AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh Battery
I mean... problem solved.

I dont know where this tight battery issue has arisen ?? Got my 2nd Vmax delivered today and both accept AW IMR 18350s perfectly :) They seem to have got the dimensions spot on !!!

It's been brought to my attention that rumors are being a bit exaggerated about this subject but some of the information getting out there is not true or factual. Please read the following very carefully and lets make sure the correct and accureate information gets out there to our vaping family. Keep in mind this is ONLY FOR USPS, NOT DHL, NOT FED EX, and NOT UPS which most vendors use to ship overseas. NOT USPS.

USPS to Prohibit Sending Lithium Batteries Internationally

The United States Postal Service will shortly begin restricting

INTERNATIONAL MAILINGS TO PROHIBIT LITHIUM

BATTERIES.

Starting May 16, lithium batteries and electronic devices

containing lithium batteries will be prohibited from being

mailed internationally. They also will not be allowed in

shipments to or from Army Post Offices, Fleet Post Offices and

Diplomatic Post Offices. Lithium batteries already are

prohibited in mail shipments on international commercial air

transportation under International Civil Aviation Organization

and Universal Postal Union regulations.

Shippers and mailers are advised that:

Lithium batteries must be removed from electronic devices to

be shipped in international or overseas military mail before the

package is submitted for mailing.
Electronic equipment with non-removable lithium batteries

may not be shipped using international or overseas military

mail.
USPS retail associates will begin asking Post Office customers

whether lithium batteries are in any international shipments

that have batteries or electronic equipment declared as

contents on customs labels.

The new regulation will not apply to packages containing

lithium batteries or electronic devices mailed within the U.S.

on domestic commercial air or ground transportation.

It feels like some big money has exchanged hands. Sure

would be interesting to have a look at everyone's bank

accounts thats involved with this policy, think that should be

mandatory transparency when any new law or regulation is

passed.

I hope this clears up any misconception of this situation.
