Terrific photo Dirk. How do you like the Trip tank? Got one but haven't used it yet as I have no standard sized cartos (they're on the way).

I got the Trip based on looks alone but as it turns out it's the best tank I've owned - not too airy, not too tight.
I received my Clockworks rta during the week too, makes me feel like a noob again - there's a lot I have to learn about rebuildables.

Did you see the Smok rebuildable yet?

Good to know about the Trip. I have indeed also seen those ST's and they look very interesting. Will likely pick one up when available but I'm in no hurry as I have plenty to keep me busy for a while. I remain impressed by ST's forward thinking.

The chrome vmax is still a beast! And make sure you get a v2.5 nova. Its the latest, and final, release. There will be no future revisions to it. Maybe a diff design on top and bottom caps, and diff drip tips but the internals will remain unchanged. This also applies to the new stardust with changeable atty heads, which I have not tried yet but have heard good things thus far.

It seems the replacement units sent out By the vendor I got my V1 from are later versions, yesterday I received a fully operational V2 complete with 3 volt start:(

I guess the vendor though he was doing me a favor!

I sold my V1 to a colleague in work and stumped up a few extra Euros to get a chrome from a local vendor - it's not a "beast" but it's nice and shiny!

I'll get a V2 Nova at some point - thanks for the advice folks.

Today I ran out of pre-punched carto soo I decided to punch a carto using the guide floating around here on ecf and failed big time! even after practicing so many times with old cartos. I wanted to punch 2 holes and the first hole came out good but the second one got fudge I guess the tip got really dull after the first one and messed up something inside the carto. Got an F1 error on the beast so I checked resistance with a dvom and got nothing lol trashed a brand new carto! grrr, 2nd attempt using a dremel and a small bit=gold!! I still used my punching tool to make an indent on the carto for the drill bit and worked awesome!

Sucks to hear about the problems with the novas. Stardust was OK to me (a little airy IMHO) along with a few other ce2 systems I've used before - but I'm so happy with this Nova that buying anything else just doesn't make sense to me now. I would like to pick up a cover though, my only beef is with the measurements on the side of the tank.

I probably wouldn't use a nova with an ego battery though, I'd wait for the mini for that.

Gday guys.

Sorry to interrupt your vape. :)

I'm hoping ya's can clear something up for me.

Do the Vmax chromes have a new ego style fitting or are they the same as the Black or Silver V1 Vmax's?

I could have sworn I saw a picture on the net of the V1 black/silvers next to a chrome and stating that they did have a new fitting.

Any links/pics of the chrome or new stainless top fitting would be appreciated.

cheers Guys

VAPE ON!

Hey freddie, any chance you could post those pics you mentioned of the punch pattern? Also Im still wondering if theres a way to punch holes without a carto punch or a dremel. Ideas appreciated. Thanks.

I will let you know that when puching holes in the Fusions, will have a very tight fit when slipping the polished aluminum tank caps on! Just a heads up!

I only ever punch two holes in my cartos, never had any problems with under-saturation and I use pure VG.

Along with my new Vmax came a pair of Efest IMR 18350 batteries, due to the tight nature of battery cap there with not quite room for the Efest label so I peeled it offl. I could have used a Sharpie and labeled them but I put it back on horizontally towards positive end, now the battery cap has just enough clearance. Mine are the nipple tops but I can see how this situation might be adding to the problems that some people are having with the flat tops. I hope this might be useful to someone.
