For those of you that have a dremel and don't care for the restrictive air flow you sometimes get with ST cartos heres a 5 second fix. The reason the airflow is tight is due to 1 main cause. Take a BOGE and a ST carto, flip em upside down side by side, connection's up. Now pay close attention to the air channel in the middle of the positive pole piece.(looks like a flat head screwdriver slot) Now look how deep the BOGE is compared to the ST and it's shallowness. Thats why ST have a much tighter draw. Sometimes that tight draw leads to the carto clogging and failing much earlier than it should. The caramelzation of the
coils due to the sugars in the PG/VG chemical makeup are increased when the airflow is tightened or restricted. Some have a theory that the vapor left over inside the cart/atty acts almost like a left over resin if not completely cleared out creating more caramelzation on the
coils shortening their lifespan. Their is an actual word for it but honestly I can't think of it for the life of me. OHHHH thats going to drive me nutzzz!!!! Anyway heres a few pics of a dremel tip I use to do this, and how to fix a tight draw on ST cartos(510 ONLY)....on fusions you simply make 1 of the 2 holes a bit bigger on the colar. Heres the pics ::
