Very coolo....now Im hoping their "genuine" Smoktech VMAX's.....should be.....I hope. I wonder how they have em.
I've just read about a German group buy where they mention being able to buy the steel Ego version from smok with a blue display but only upon request.
This was a different German forum to the one where I originally found out about the Blue display - smok do make them and apparently they're in the wild too.

I dunno about an all blue display but if they had neon yellow then id be all for it! I kinda like the red led on the chrome version I have. the border around it and the button both light up blue so its all multicolor.

A request. I'm looking for a new Vmax, the one I have is great but its the first one that came out awhile ago.
I'm looking for the shiney chrome plated one, also with a BLUE LED number display, ability to turn the button light off and the number display off, and when it displays 3v it is actually 3v and not 4.2v. Has this been created yet? Anyone know a vendor who is carrying this?
Also if the vendor sold spare vision tox heads that would be a plus (i've been through 3 of them now).

I'm going to buy a ProVari but when I get a replacement for the chrome Vmax, I'll sell it on and get a Steel Vmax with an ego connection, hopefully with a Blue display.
I did find out a few things about the Provari during my research that shocked me all the same (V1 related) like cast resin screens that melted or bubbled and button problems. I remember someone criticizing the Vmax because you can see the electronics if you look up the battery tube which is something I never liked. I was pretty amazed to find out that the Provari still has this rather precarious arrangement which is incredible when you consider the cost - I'm still going to give the ProVari a shot because of the length of time it's been around and it's great reputation for being reliable.
Smok do seem to be trying to improve judging by the amount of iterations there have been so far, at this rate I think they'll eventually produce something that surpasses everything else.

Smok is actually working on something right now that will blow your mind. I have a feelin' when their done and it's released it could very well be the device that all other devices will compare to. To my knowledge their concept has not been attempted or successfully started or finished in even the most simple or basic format.....this type of internal electronics will be the begining of a new era of how we vape and the quality of the experience in how we do it. Yes it's still China made but the idea itself is years ahead of it's time.
Not that I know of other than the post above but he didn't really give a link for that vendor...hint ...hint ... Link???
As far as the vision tox....I try not to hate on any pv or anyones pv...BUT.....from all I've read, seen in videos and in person I think that device is a true lost cause. My advice would be to maybe save your money and get somethin different thats more reliable. BUT....thats strictly my opinion.
Sidenote.....1 of the best devices I've had the pleasure of testing recently is the young june "chrome V2" . This devices finish and weight alone says extremely nice,it must be triple-dippied in chrome to get the weight, high sheen mirror-like finish and extreemely deep luster value that the chrome has, I was very impressed right from the start. It uses a boosted PWM circuitry. The 1 I've tested the amperage limits I've got so far range from 3.8-4.1 amps (depending on all the factors ofcourse..battery charge, Ω's,etc...). All in all, I've been using this device for 2 weeks now along with my VMAX's and so far I am really really liking this thing. It's got the eGo type connector top so stardusts (which I've never really been a fan of till now) fit and look like their coming right out of the top of it with flush lines, ""so far"" a very nice very solid device. Oh yeah..as far as DC capability...I ran a 1.5Ω DC carto at 6v and all I can say is ......I don't really recommend doing this as it put the fear of God in me and my lungs...obviously their is NO auto-de-tuning like the V1 LT does when you put ANY LR atty on it and it goes to a anemic 3.52 volts and you can't help but laugh. Anyway, until you find the VMAX your hunting for for the price this is a really nice V V device, Im really glad I have 1. ....So far.......???

What is the difference between the stainless steel Vmax and the Chrome vmax? Could someone put their pics side by side? I don't understand, the chrome would be shinyer but places charge 5$ more for the stainless steel.
The chrome is just a coating and will eventually wear off. The stainless steel is steel all the way through, so the finish will stay more or less the same.

Looks suspiciously familiar looking.... Oddly it looks exactly like the blue LED version someone posted seeing in Germany..... Maybe what SmokTech told you was true and that is why they said there was no blue LED version, it was a Uniq version all along.....
Looks exactly like the original Smok steel version to me - the version pictured on Intaste.de is the newer Ego type and this is the 510 version.
