Smoktech Vmax Owners - tips, tricks and quirks

I got it wicking well now thnks to VAPNJ350's advice , now to get oxidized better.

This always worked well for me with my DiD, and their are 1,000 different ways from 1,000 different people so take with a grain of salt.

1st before you even roll the mesh up after you cut it to length/width...torch the CRAP out of it all over front and back.
2nd roll it up.....torch the crap out of it more, quench it if you like 5-6 times
3rd...whatever juice your gonna use dribble it over the wick then light with a lighter,not torch, hold till goes out by itself....flip and repeat.....flip and repeat...flip and repeat....at this point the wick should look like suite and be black as night. If not... repeat 3rd step till it does.
4th....if your not getting good results after that start doing the cig rollin' paper trick...it DOES work perfectly knocking out shorts , just make sure your wick is dry before you roll it on their.

If it still doesn't work after all this...WALK OUTSIDE .....PLACE IT ON THE GROUND.....GET IN YOUR CAR......AND RUN THE FREGGIN' THING OVER TILL YOU FEEL GLORIOUS SATISFACTION !!!!!!.......THEN GO INSIDE....CRACK A NICE BEER OR A GLASS OF SINGLE MALT ......HAVE A vape.....AND CALL IT A NIGHT.. I think thats what I like most about it....this thing is toooo easy to setup perfect every single time. Shorts ????? What's a short...Oh I don't get those....EVER!! It's basically idiot proof. Their was a Penny on the classies last night with all kinds of xtras for $200. It was sold in 8 minutes flat.

Martin I'll be the very 1st to tell ya and anyone else I hate GG stuff with a passion. It's too shiny, to gaudy, I hate the side bottom or bottom firing buttons, I hate gold, should I keep going ?? But the Penny....it's just not like the average GG type stuff.
It's simple and it works effortlessly, I wish it wasn't polished but with the clear window it's not so bad.

Oh yeah almost forgot what I hate about GG the most.....HOW FREGGIN' OVERPRICED IT ALL IS. I've never owned anything GG and other than the Pen...I never will. Ok I'm done....lolol

Sorry, but I have to agree the Z/Vmax threads are becoming more about Pennys and other accessories and less about the Vmax or Zmax, which I thought these threads were about. Almost to the point of giving up on these threads.

Last week my vmax fell over with a carto tank on it, and the top cap (which seems to be press fitted in there) came off. The positive connection to the board came unattatched. I melted the solder and reattached the wire; so, it's working fine now. But, the top cap seems as though it's not too firmly attached; I was thinking of hitting it with some super glue. Would there be any reason I might not want to super glue the top cap on? I remember reading a post about the negative connection being cold soldered to the inside of the top cap; might I want to hit the solder with some hot glue while I'm in there?

Any thoughts guys?

Maybe try a very very small drop of Gorilla Glue in 2 places on the top cap 180 degrees opposite of each other. Just have a warm wet cloth ready to wipe any excess that may mushroom out when you press it back in and be very fast and very careful with the cloth to keep any excess from getting on the exterior finish.

Monster throathit. (not as much taste as the Orion 2.1 though)

And the Vmax doesn't like it (I keep getting F1 and F2 errors on vmax. It works perfectly well on everything else I've tried it on though)

I am going to try another mesh wick in my DID knock off that I got from Stormy's for $39.95, if I like it and choose to buy another I will get it from Eric at DiscountVapers for $24.95 and it will all ready have a wick. So anybody want one DV is the place

I had to enlist the help of VAPNJ350 to get this DID mini going, I just now re-DID it. That's not why it's called a DID but it's a good name for it.

By golly I think I have a winner.

Just a reminder that we now have our very own 'MAX VV Devices' section. Whereas in the past there was no choice but to lump all the categories together under this thread, one can now easily open a new thread with appropriate subtopics. Try and pop the top cap and removing the board (got to get the window up thru the hole) it's really easy to get the button back in although you may have to resolder the wires on the top cap.

Alternatively, it should still be under warranty - send it back to the vendor.
