... seeing as so many people instantly dismiss these product when they here that it uses "PWM" (which is a misnomer for unfiltered output, and a pet peeve of mine ) and doesn't match the Provari.

Now wouldn't those same people be shocked to know that a Joye eGo and even a Joye 510 also use PWM for voltage regulation. (Albeit more accurately tuned than the Max.)

That looks more like they are searching hard for problems and flaws then objectively testing the unit.

That is also why there is only a couple reviewers that I pay attention to SOME PARTS of their reviews.

It's a travesty when someone reviewing a new device provides misinformation that could affect buying decisions. Sure, give us the bad along with the good but make it accurate.

I've recommended this exact filter to Smoktech and explained the huge benefit but they don't agree. I think they want it to be like this to be honest. Your guess is as good as mine.

My guess is it's their marketing 'genuis' who believes that by making it feel as though it's hitting harder people will believe it's more powerful than other mods and it will sell better. Lunacy.

For me it's a non-issue either way. I don't care what the scopes or numbers say, as long as I can get it to a consistent output that represents a sweet spot for me, and with reasonable battery life and dependability. Whether it reads 3v or 6v or 3w or 15w, in the end it's the quality of vape it is capable of that matters (to me).

There are quite a few sample ZMax units out there now. I would like to see someone like Busardo review it who puts it on a scope and shows exactly what the device is doing. I suspect the VW function is not accurate as it would be calculating the wattage based on the "average" voltage so it will likely hit harder like the VMax does; but it would be nice for an objective reviewer to scope it so we know what exactly the ZMax is doing when in VW mode.

Well I'm not getting my ZMax anytime soon. I finally got the damn EMS tracking to work and it's showing my package bouncing around Shenzen for the last 5 days between "despatch" centers.

Arggggh!! so mad right now.. :grr:

If I'm lucky I'll see it by the end of the week, but that is only if it actually leaves China today. :p

My last order from HealthCabin, also got "re-directed" to Montreal. Again, by EMS. I'm starting to see a trend here. Never had an issue with them for the last two years, and suddenly this is the second order this month this has happened to.

I've had them deliver stuff here from China on the 4th day after shipping so trust me this is very weird behavior that I've experienced in the last two shipments.

I'm very disappointed in whatever has caused this sudden change to their process.

Nice pricepoint, and it's good to see the mention of the dual 18350 batteries with the current cap included as part of the "features".

It is a shame however that ST has held back the shipping of the SS version.. and are releasing the Chrome only version.

Not to say that you bunch won't be buying multiples though, right?! ;)

So on electronicstix website the description for the ZMAX says it'll hold an 18650, or 2 flat top 18350's with the single cap it comes with. I was under the impression it had two caps? Can anyone clarify this for me? Does it come with both caps, and if not will it fit my AW 18350's?

It currently ships with single cap that is for using an IMR/CGR type 18650.

PS: Oh yea, forgot to mention (probably has been mentioned before but I'd forgotten so it was a new surprise to me) the ZMax REMEMBERS your last settings between batt changes. Now I'm sure if you leave batts out of it long 'nuff it'll forget but I actually managed to leave mine alone for 20 minutes and it still knew I was vaping at 8.5 watts.
