My guess is it's their marketing 'genuis' who believes that by making it feel as though it's hitting harder people will believe it's more powerful than other mods and it will sell better. Lunacy.

For me it's a non-issue either way. I don't care what the scopes or numbers say, as long as I can get it to a consistent output that represents a sweet spot for me, and with reasonable battery life and dependability. Whether it reads 3v or 6v or 3w or 15w, in the end it's the quality of vape it is capable of that matters (to me).

Perfectly said and extremely well put. My thoughts exactly...pretty much. It has to look good, built well, be small, good powerful battery life and to put it very simply.....'SATISFY MY PREFERENCE'. Other devices did pretty good I can't lie about that, Darwin, Provari, LT, and even out of those the Fistpak did the best job believe it or not, for what I look for anyway. But none of the 6 Fistpaks I built better than the original gave me the satisfaction the Vmax did and now the 'Z'. But the great thing about vaping and all the individuality that comes with it what makes me say "NOW THAT'S WHERE IT'S AT" may not be the same "AT" for the next person. Let's face it folks,...if we all felt the same way about everything and all like the same stuff this would be one BORING place to live and we would all look pretty funny walkin' around wearing all the same close, shoes, hats, and undies.....RIGHT!??? Take care all and no matter what your vapin' on just cherish it, it just may have saved your life. J

There are quite a few sample ZMax units out there now. I would like to see someone like Busardo review it who puts it on a scope and shows exactly what the device is doing. I suspect the VW function is not accurate as it would be calculating the wattage based on the "average" voltage so it will likely hit harder like the VMax does; but it would be nice for an objective reviewer to scope it so we know what exactly the ZMax is doing when in VW mode.

Ya know I've thought about doing device reviews since I've got the high-end tools to do it right and have even been asked by a few to start....BUT, Honestly it's not really my thang, and I don't feel it would be a very fair review since these particular devices (V & Z) have kinda grown on me the way they have. Me doing a review on these 2 devices would be no better than someone doing a review on it who's an obvious and publicly announced preferred Provari person. Hint, hint, eye-wink, eye-wink. lol. At any rate I do agree with you but just not sure if Phil is the right 1 for it either for obvious reasons, think we really need someone who really doesn't care one way or the other and doesn't just say that but truthfully means it. And don't get me wrong,,,I love Phil's reviews and he's a true stand up guy but let's face it, the last Vmax review was a bit on the.... well you know.

So if Zmax only comes with battery cap for one 18650 , where is the other cap for the 18350's?
I think I got it figured out, I think that supplied cap with work with both types of batteries.

Their are ""2"" endcaps for the 'Z'max. 1 just like the Vmax's endcap. Than "another" endcap that is 5mm longer for using "2" 18350 stacked batteries. I hope this clears up this whole endcap de-boggle. I could've swore I explained all this in my post when I 1st got it 2 weeks ago or so...give or take. Maybe not.

I got a feeling that they may have changed cap to save a nickle or two.

You explained that quite clearly, hence the confusion. The product description at electronicstix, and the link dwcraig supplied both say that the Z will fit one 18650, and two flat top 18350's with the supplied end cap. There is no option to purchase a second end cap, so either it comes with both a cap for the 18650, and the cap for 18350's, or one single cap that fits both. I was under the impression that with the 18350 cap you could run nipple top batteries like AW's.

Granny panties everywhere.

Awesome job with the info and updates everyone! Looking for info on the Vmax before it was in North America was not very fun so I appreciate the effort!
It is also good to see the price came down a lil. Might as well order a bunch of new efests while I wait to get my hands on one :p
