It arrived today, will be doing all the technical tests on it tonight and tomorrow, hopefully by sunday can give a full tech run down. One thing noticed that they did change from the beta version is the button is more responsive and feels stiffer... Won't say much else until the hard data is collected.

And if they do, you need a different tank. i keep all my devices laying down...any PV left standing up is at risk to be knocked down, by almost anything. that is my

I am most interested in hearing more on the Z's delayed start/stop when fired thing. I'm not really looking at it as a major problem but it sure is noticeable.

My VV Gripper does the same thing. Doesn't bother me much, but you definitely have to get used to it.
Since my Zmax hasn't arrived yet, I can't make a direct comparison, but on all my eGo Twists, when I let up on the button it doesn't go out immediately ... it rapidly fades out over about .5–1 second. I observed the coil on my Penelope while this was happening, and the fade delay on the button pretty much perfectly matches the rate at which the coil cools down below vaping heat. Since I know this is going to happen pretty much every time, I just adjust for it by continuing my drag briefly while the light goes out. I don't know if this is what's happening with the Zmax, but it sounds similar. Who knows, perhaps SmokTech is taking a page from Microsoft's book ... it's not a bug, it's a feature!

) Hey, question for you on your Legacy ... does whatever's on top line up straight with the body? On mine, the 510 connection is slightly out of plumb with the vertical centerline of the PV, with the result that whatever's on top (my Penelope, for example) has a slight list to one side. If you roll the Legacy across the desktop, the Penny wobbles like crazy. The 510 connection isn't loose; it's perfectly tight. It's just our of line ... only a cosmetic defect, though. Vapes like a champ, and with the Kick, the vape is solid and consistent no matter what's on top.
I already addressed this earlier folks. It DOES NOT KEEP FIRING A SECONG LONGER !! It merely seems to because the coil gets to such a high temperature so fast it CAN NOT cool down at the same speed folks...it's very simple physics and even more-so LOGIC. It simply the coils sizzling a mi nut mili-second longer after you let off the fire button and the juice is still crackling on the coil for a sec until cool. I've checked my unit over and over on my portable scope and the Lecroy 312-A Wavejet, when I let off the wave stops completely, no response...FLATline, DEAD, NODA, zilch, zero, goose egg.
Every VV device I have and have owned does this same thing due to the coil being raised to a higher temperature than on a basic 510 stick or 3.3v eGo. You just notice it more with a device like the V/Zmax because of it's higher voltage spikes in the PWM the coil gets much hotter than 'average devices......how do you think you get so much more vapor.....why do you think it feels like it hits so much harder......this is why.
Now, if anyone else is curious about the 'non'- issue...please refer them to this post. If their is a unit out there that does this, I liked to see it. Take care all.

No, my 510 connection is perfectly centered but my bottom threading seems to be slightly off as one side of the extension tube doesn't sit flush. And the button mechanism does the same thing if I don't use the extension so it's definitely the tube threading and not the extension threading.

J/K, but honestly I don't even use it. It seems that everybody raves about them non-stop so I finally broke down and got one less than 2 weeks ago and I honestly like my "Kicked" Legacy SO much better! If I didn't really like the B&M that I got it at so much I would return it but I don't want to stick them with a used one.
Dunno but I got to 3.4v on my CGR and it was still going when I swapped it for an EH IMR (MadVapes) to get a 3rd cycle on this battery. I'll see how low it goes on this batt.
I fully understand what you're talking about as my 5v GreatBites tin does that as does my Chuck when using fresh stacked batts but on the tin the light doesn't stay on.
But...
My old original Joyetech eGo 650mAh did this also. I'd always assumed it was a filter/spike cap on the 'enable' pin of the regulator.
My Z max does have a delay. It's only about .25 second. The LED stay's lit also and the RMS meter doesn't drop instantly. Same .25 second delay on fire also. I can tap the button to the point of a definite click and let off w/o it lighting up.
Frankly I don't understand why anyone cares. It's a 1/4 of 1 second.
It's not a completely bad idea to let off the button before you stop drawing a puff anyway, on any device. Theoretically you'd use less juice (cause theres still vapor in there), cool coil faster (longer atty/carto life?) and get longer run time on your batts... at least by some very small fraction of a percentage point.
