I already addressed this earlier folks. It DOES NOT KEEP FIRING A SECONG LONGER !! It merely seems to because the coil gets to such a high temperature so fast it CAN NOT cool down at the same speed folks...it's very simple physics and even more-so LOGIC. It simply the coils sizzling a mi nut mili-second longer after you let off the fire button and the juice is still crackling on the coil for a sec until cool. I've checked my unit over and over on my portable scope and the Lecroy 312-A Wavejet, when I let off the wave stops completely, no response...FLATline, DEAD, NODA, zilch, zero, goose egg.

Every VV device I have and have owned does this same thing due to the coil being raised to a higher temperature than on a basic 510 stick or 3.3v eGo. You just notice it more with a device like the V/Zmax because of it's higher voltage spikes in the PWM the coil gets much hotter than 'average devices......how do you think you get so much more vapor.....why do you think it feels like it hits so much harder......this is why.

Now, if anyone else is curious about the 'non'- issue...please refer them to this post. If their is a unit out there that does this, I liked to see it. Take care all.
The display light and the atomizer are in sync with this delay thing. I demonstrated this side by side with my Vmax to show my friend what I was talking about. This is something that I have observed with Ego Twist but none of my big battery mods, it is very noticeable. It is defiantly doing stated problem and my two Vmax's do not do this, I think to display staying on with it tells that it is slill being powered up.

Edit: I was busy with making mesh wick and did not see that subject was being discussed (or I type too slow)

I am still "testing" Zmax but from what I see so far my ver1 Vmax is my choice based on the vape only. The added battery life with 18650 though is a big plus on the Z. I think there is a very different vape between the two, the Z seems to have possibly more power at 5 volts than V, I'm not sure though. I put my shorty 510 adapter on the Z (took it off V) to make airyness the same, seems to hit very different like the frequency is not the same. All this is speculation at this point.

I've got a kinda pole question for everyone that's lookin' to get a 'Z'.

Would anyone want or like to see a green display on it? Would you purchase it with a green display?

**This is strictly for my curiousity....but you never know what may come of it..lol**
Well with the arrival of the Z they are going to have to come up with a new name. They could call it the KOOL MAX

Just to make it clear, the QUALITY and BUILD of the ZMAX IS FREAKING SOLID! POWER and PERFORMANCE, better than the Provari and yes I can say that as I have Vaped on BOTH devices and gave back my friends Provari, as he went and got the ZMAX the SAME day I recieved mine from AAV! Funny how my boy has 3 Provari V2's and 2 Provari Mini's, was talking smack about the ZMAX and then goes out and buys one! Not only did he buy one, but that fool got so excited about getting one and left his Provari with me for 4 days...Hahaha...LMAO! I returned it though...:)

The Zmax and Vmax do operate at different frequencies - 50/60hz for the Z and 700/800hz for the V.
I don't know enough about electronics to know if this does make a difference.

The Z is a solid performer, it hasn't missed a beat so far and the battery life is superb.

Any one Else's battery check .1 off? Fresh bats only read 4.1 checked them in two other devices and they read 4.2 and don't seem to last long but that could be my imagination haven't used it long enough to tell .I guess no big deal just wondering if they all do that

I don't have a ZMax (yet) but my batteries after charging are typically 4.18 volts. It could be simply an issue where one circuit is rounding up to the next voltage and the ZMax is simply truncating the 100th of a volt since it can only display to 10ths of a volt. Not sure if this is the reason but it doesn't seem like an issue to be a deal breaker on the ZMax.

Heads up - Madvapes have a "vented" version of the Zmax for $119 with the vents at 4 places on the body grooves - not sure about this.
With the built in protection of the Z, I personally don't think it needs them - spoils the aesthetic imo.

They also have the 18350 extension caps for $6.29 - only 34 in stock last time I looked.
