I got my first Panasonic CGR18650CH 2250mah 18650 battery delivered today. It fits in the ZMax better than the eFest IMR 2000mah 18650 battery. It is actually about 1mm or so shorter than the eFest so there is less pressure on the end capand the end cap screws on much more easily (no more fighting the threads to get the end cap on). I hope the battery works well for me as others have said it does. If it meets my expectations I will buy some more and they will be my main batteries for my ZMax. Tonight when removing the eFest I had the issue where the end cap pushed up on the eFest label. Like others, I had to remove it and move it higher up on the battery so it doesn't interfere with the end cap.

Anyone happen to catch GrimmGreen's little look at the MadVapes acrylic Zmax? Can't really tell much from the video, but it looks interesting ...

It looks like a toy like he said.

The solder connection holding the positive battery connection onto the circuit board broke off earlier. So, I took it apart. Posted about it here

Good pics. Thanks for sharing. Bummer about your positive connector. I hope you get it soldered back and get your ZMax back to working condition.

It [the Acrylimax] looks like a toy like he [Grimm] said.

Yes, I have a red Acrylimax and saw Grimm's informal quickie "review." When he began saying what it looked like to him and paused before offering "...a toy," I winced a little. Maybe it does look like a toy to Grimm; to me, the Acrylimax looks like a "hand-made, hand-tooled mod" (which is what it is), rather than a mass-produced, factory-machined mod (i.e., the Zmax).

Not that one is necessarily better than the other (hand-made versus factory-produced). That judgment is in the eye of the beholder and hand of the user. I'm just saying that "It looks like a... toy" is not a very good description.

Far from a toy...elite vaping device is more like it :)

I assume you CAN accurately and based on actual use of the device tell why is it so?
NO WAIT, I allready know, it is made in China!!!
My whole life seems to be made in China (and I'm not Chinese). The only thihg I own that is made in US is my Maglite and my charge card ( and I think it reports back to China)

Truth to be told, Zmax did surprise me too with the quality of it's finish. After the Lavatubes from 1 to 2.1T didn't actually excpect anything EVEN remotely resembling that of Provari.
After couple of weeks in heavy use Zmax is still working like it did on the first day I had it.
Sadly the pulsereleated issues leave me into conclusion that sadly this is not what it was suppoused to be, the newest Lambo 4 is safer bet as far as the excact voltage is involved.

I know that I'm comparing apples to oranges but I just pulled my Phoenix RB off of my LT 1.5 @ 4.5 volts (1.9 ohm coil) and put it on my Vbeast @ 4 volts, seemed like a new ride.
Even if I crank up the voltage on the LT it does't have that instant jolt of power like Vbeast

Oh gee, I just realized that I'm in the Zmax thread so I broke out my Zmax with stacked batteries, for a minute there I thought I was going to have to drop the voltage but it just needed some juice, but I could have turned it down had it been necessary.

It boils down to this you are wanting top end performance at a mid level price. China dose not produce top end performance. They make things as cheaply as possible. We all know this. If you buy a Chinese Mod (I have several) you will not have top quality. You roll the dice and get what you get.
In all reality its our fault we buy the cheep crap they send so why wouldn't they keep miking it?
The saying when you point your finger 3 point back comes to mind. So if we want China to stop sending crap here we stop buying it.
Heres food for thought if Provape made a mod that did this wed hang them over a barrel right? We'd say shame on them wed demand they'd recall wed tar and feather them and run them out of town.
But we see these issues and we continue to buy them we don't hold China or the vendors responsible who sell them we keep buying them. So I say we have no place to complain there are products out there China is trying to imitate cheaply we in our all consuming greed will pay less for it and could care less about the legit company's who have your best interest at hart by selling you a well made products.
So who is to blame? Look in the mirror!

Without China we wouldn't be vaping or doing alot of things for that matter.
You have bought in to the hype! We did great before Corporate America bought our politicians and sold out American manufacturing to other countries. In another generation we will not have the capability to manufacture our own products!!! The very economic future of our country is being traded away for short term greed. Wake up people before its to late!
