How about new venders? How often do they update that list? I looked at it the other day and no they weren't listed. Wish I'd know there would be fake stuff out there of the cheaper stuff! How crazy is that?

There are lots of suppliers that sell Vision products that are not on the list. The supplier has to specifically request to be listed.

ok. I do know this 1 is a knock off only because it didn't come in a box, it came in a little bubble envelope. It also doesn't say vivi nova on it either but I didn't notice any of that until Kiwi pointed it out. Now it's like a damn sore tooth!! UGH!!

Not to side track the conversation. Just wanted to say my zmax showed up today. batteries and chargers as well (yes i'm the only vapor who did not have any 18650's in his stash) Had the long spring. shortened it and bent the tip in. The menus were a breeze since I read all about them on here. Slapped a DCT on it and squealed like a little girl. Wow this thing is nice. Thank you all for the info. Now to play nice and convince the better half I need more toys ;-)

I might have the long spring too because it's tough getting the battery cap on. Time to do a little digging around.

just got my gunmetal v2 from madvapes, I LOVE THIS THING, anyone else find a 18650 barely fits in the endcap? i had to press it all the way into the endcap bottom first completely compressing the spring to get it closed all the way with no threads showing, not a big deal but a little bit of a pain to remove said battery lol

Take a look at this post and cut one coil off and bend down the freshly cut sharp end of coil (if you have the long spring in the short cap that is)

it's more the diameter that's really snug, im using panasonic imr 18650ch and the plastic casing is making it really snug, it fits but barely, my spring doesn't extend out of the cap or anything
CGR18650CH is one of the thinnest skins out there, some even put their wrapper on top of it.
You should feel no spring tension when placing cap on tube until the first threads mate.

Even with the Panny CGRs I have had slight issues with the wrapper being caught up on the endcap. You have to be very careful not to damage the wrapper on the battery with the ZMax.

Zmax: efest vs pana.CGR18650CH
Should I switch to CGR18650CH? opinions?
As long as you are getting good performance from the ones that you have I see no reason to switch, but when it's time to replace them I would go with a quality IMR battery (Efest, AW, Panasonic, ect). AW is always a sure bet.

I didn't realize that he is probably talking about battery fitting snug in the cap, can someone give the fix for this as I have to go to work now.

Yes the hard plastic should be removed it is just to protect the battery until ready to use. Is it the grey Panny's you are using?
