That was awesome... still didn't clear up whether we can set the voltage and wattage at the same time. I say no, hubs says yes. He still doesn't like it but that's cool, that just means I won't have to fight with him for it!! :D
Phil Busardo's review of the Zmax V2 is up;

As far as batteries go, I've been using Efests instead of AW's for the past week - they're top quality and very good value. The Efests may not have the life-cycle of the AW's but they're a good bit cheaper.

You're right, you can't set the voltage and wattage at the same time. In wattage mode, it sets the voltage all by itself.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue or not but there is a sweet spot with the vivi nova and the zmax body. Not tight enough it won't fire or too tight and it won't fire either. Oh and if my husband touches it 2 seconds later it won't fire then either. EXTREMELY touchy and I am not sure I like that. Anyone else experiencing anything similiar?

Sorry, I have never used a Vivi Nova... Did you check the center connector at the base of the Vivi? Does it protrude or is it flush with the threading? Do your other devices (cartos, atomizers) work OK on it? Put the display on to show ohms and see what it reads when this happens (I would assume an open - 9.9o on display).

Oh, and don't let Marvin touch it...:)

Oh and if my husband touches it 2 seconds later it won't fire then either.

I use Vivi Novas on mine quite often and I've never had any problem with mine.

Enjoyed that. I've been using the vivi novas a fair bit with mine and now I know why I don't hear the "hum".
I didn't notice it with cartos either but I'll listen again next time.
Really appreciated what he flashed on the screen at 38:00 "Voltage regulation was also good. No noticeable drop in power over the course of the battery charge".

Nope, and I've used the vivis a lot with mine. Takes about 8 turns of the vivi to screw it on, then another half turn for me. I agree with DSY, check the ohms in menu 5 - it's the DR setting. If it says 9.90o its not connecting. Are you using better batteries now?
Also, did you buy Vision vivi novas?

ETA: if you are using these you have a knock off: http://www.easyvaping.com/35ml-Vivi-Nova-Variable-Clearomizer-_p_471.html

I'm using Vision vivi novas - they work really well, and are the original ones. This is a list of official USA distributors:

You'll see Mad Vapes is on there.

The center post in the Vivi Nova connector might be too far recessed. I believe you can adjust it with a screwdriver. Turn it to extend it out about a cm to see if that helps make contact.

Update:
My Zmax second version came to me Nov 1st and been using it since with efest 2000mah 18650 flat and button tops .
I only use several DID20 genesis type atty's and the Zmax to date has been flawless in it's operation to date.

I also upgraded from my tr-001 trustfire charger to a Xtar SP 2 charger .
