Does anyone know any information about the newest revision of the Z MAX that will have the OLED display? Such as when it will be released, or what other differences, if any there will be?

It's not a genuine ZMax. It's a clone by a different company. So far sample units have had quite a few issues with bad build duality.

Just got mine a few days ago. Using 18650's with no issues.

The one in the coops currently is a clone and they are having quality issues with the build, display, etc. The ones from HC are not even a ZMax clone. They are made by Rainbow Shenzhen and are called a VAMO, but HC has decided to keep the name a secret. They are already on version 2 as version 1 had an issue with vaping at 6 watts causes a problem, no insulator in top of tube and flat batteries could cause a short. V 2 resolved both the problems and added metal buttons. For the price if it works the HC deal is good for a VW mod with RMS.

For what they charge for a provari it better not have any problems.

I dont have the ever firing issue with my V1,but it does reset to a random wattage like once or twice a week...last night it went to 15W,earlier last week was 10w...but it doesnt seem to influence things much,it just feels odd and i readjust.

Not complaining,I like it much.

That's strange. My v1 has never done that.

Hi people, not a regular on this thread, but have read most of the posts. I'd like to ask for some input. Got a zmax, and the following day the top cap came right off while unscrewing a vivi, twisting off the wires. Vendor said it was a fluke, and sent another one...I've had it three weeks, and it happened again twice...although this time I did not twist off the wires. I've been able to just put it back in, but now the led display screen is no longer exactly flush. For the 120 bucks (v1) I'm not happy about the top cap instability. I otherwise have liked the mod...but am thinking about recouping my losses at this point while there is still a one month guarantee, sending it back for a refund, and just getting a provari. Any thoughts...

I would say just get a provari if you have done that to 2 of these. Are you over-tightening the vivi? You should never screw anything down too hard. It just ends up messing up the connection and causes issues with any 510 connection. Unscrewing a device should never put enough force on it to be able to lift it out of the tube since it is press fit in there pretty well.

Sounds like you're tightening on your sttys with a torque wrench. They should only be very lightly finger tightened.
