Well - I see everyone has posted so many of "My" favorites already and will continue to do so . . . However, there are a few I am sure not to many people will post - The Gay Superheros . . .

The first is "Northstar" . . . He is one of the first openly gay superheroes in American comic books, and the first openly gay character to come out in a book published by Marvel Comics.

The Civic-Minded Five
One of the crime-fighting coteries in the Tick, the Civic-Minded Five bore some relation to the Mighty Heroes. In the picture below (clockwise from left): Jungle Janet, Four-Legged Man, Captain Mucilage, The Carpeted Man, and Feral Boy. Their foes would shake in their, umm, boots when they uttered their fearsome shout, "Let's make a difference!"
