Among the seriously depraved and wretched anti-heroes that sometimes took the comics world by storm, my favorites were Milk & Cheese. Not just because they were dairy products gone bad, but because they were hilarious, and hilariously violent.

I love Milk & Cheese!
I'm going to go ahead and say Milk Man Dan was a hero of mine.

The Shadow
Yet another of the pulp heroes of yesteryear, The Shadow reigned over criminals through similar means as the Phantom--that is, through guns and trickery. However, unlike the Phantom, he also practiced psychic powers to cloud the minds of men. The 1994 film starring Alec Baldwin did a decent job of bringing the character to the big screen.

Haha! Awesome!
Ever see Reid Fleming, World's Toughest Milkman? It was a truly warped and hysterically funny comic from Canada.

I understand if this doesn't count as an entry, as Reid was just a mean milkman and possessed no super or heroic qualities whatsoever. But it's still one of the jewels of my comic book collection.

Yes! This film was a huge commercial flop but I LOVED it! Remember Ethan Phillips (Star Trek Voyager's 'Neelix') as the museum security guard who lets the bad guy out of the sarcophagus? It's only a brief scene but it's absolutely chilling. Great cast, and I thought they did an excellent job of modernizing the story while staying perfectly true to the spirit of the radio show. One of my all time faves!
