After continued vaping, I think that Classic Southern really delivers the greatest spectrum of flavor if you don't crank the volts too high. I get more balance and flavor at the 3.7 - 3.8 volt range with a Triton tank.

Switched from the vv twist battery to a standard Triton battery, and it is vaping very nicely.

Mine will hopefully be here today, so I can't comment on it specifically, however...

I see people cranking up voltage/wattage really high all the time here (on ECF in general). I don't get it. I've tried all my juices cranked up, and none of them taste too good. I loose a lot of flavor at the expense of a bit more throat hit and a little more vapor output. Maybe it's just me, but I like tasting nuances and subtleties in my juices. Even at lower wattages, I still get more throat hit and vapor output than I ever did with cigarettes. I vape my juices between 5.0 watts and 6.5 watts, depending on the juice. My ADV (Menthol Ice/Mystic mix) typically gets vaped at 6.0 watts, 6.5 earlier in the day. That juice isn't nearly as complex as Voodoo or Tiki Juice, so I'm not missing anything with higher wattage. I've vaped the other two at as low as 4.5 watts and enjoyed the flavor and everything else.

Everyone's tastes and preferences for the other stuff is different. Not that I don't enjoy the taste of my ADV, but it's more of calming my addiction than flavor enjoyment than the others.

Okay. After an overnight airing, a good shake and now it's loaded in a Triton Tank on a fresh off the charger battery.

This is not a formal, posh, articulate review.

My review:

This is not the WOWgasm  that I got with Voodoo. That "slap me in the head --wake up -- this is GOOD" ejuice phenomenon

First day, first impression, G6 mini-tank on Triton battery, and in an RDA with a 1.2 ohm micro-coil on my k101: cough drop.:facepalm:

The clove and citrus really up front and strong battling it out with an occassional creamy vanilla on the inhales, but there's this candy shell flavor. First day straight from the mail box, it smelled and tasted like medicine -- a Lutens orange-honey cough drop.

DAY 2

Day two, cap back on, shake, fill up a fresh Triton Tank with a newly charged battery. I have vaped 1.5 ml so far today.

Day 2 impression: :thumb:

Much smoother. Still candyied. The clove has backed off and isn't drowning everything else out. The citrus and honey are there, almost bubbly. You remember those long, rectangle fruit flavored hard candies that were about 6 inches long and tightly wrapped? About the size of taffy strips? Hard, semi-transparent fruit candy slabs? That's what these taste like. Very light tobacco drenched in that candied citrus, a little orange peel, lemon, lime, honey shell, like sucking on a hard candy but with a creamy vanilla inhale underneath.

This is why I took my time with it -- to capture the flavors. It's complex, like most of Halo's liquids. And it did need that over night airing. It just tasted like medicine on the first day. Today, it's refreshing and good :cool:

It does leave a filminess on the tongue. And it's a bit juicier with several short fast inhales, but it's still has that candy note. The vanilla is most prevalent on the inhale, light tobacco on the exhale, all fruity/citrus through the nostrils exhaling, while the wholeness is over the tongue. The throat hit it light, the vapor is on par with Voodoo.

Overall, it is satisfying and will enter my rotation of daily liquids. Whereas Voodoo leaves a fresh fruit punch impression, Southern Classic is more like a suckable candy. Light, refreshing, different.

Just got mine in this morning. I actually really enjoy this more than voodoo. I was not a big fan of voodoo, but this southern classic is more my style. It really reminds me of a clove cigarette, like a Djarum black or something. Also thanks alot cinder for the extra free sample, somehow i ended up with two samples, i can assume i was just given it out of kindess. Now i cant wait to see if anything changes after steeping.

Just edited my post because i want to add, this is so freakin good. It hasnt even steeped or anything just fresh out of the mailbox. I might have a new ADV.

Just got my Southern Classic. Had a clean triton with a fresh 650mah battery ready for it. Gave it a good shake, let it wick, fired up!

Well, my first impression was "UH... CLOVES." and "Dry." Dry mild tobacco. Which is okay, I like the taste hidden in the perfumey-ness.

I don't care for it much right out of the box. Then again, I hated voodoo straight up as well. After a week steep, YUM. I hope that's the case for this Southern Classic. I can tell it has potential. Like the post up a few mentioned, day 2 the clove mellows. I'd imagine it would only get better from there. I'll update later. ;D Vape on!

Edit for PS: It does have a pleasant lingering odor. My family mentioned how nice it smelled. I'm a new vaper, and its still so bizarre that I can vape and my friends and loved ones give the total opposite reaction to smoking. "EW NASTY" turned to "Ooo, that smells nice." AND I can do it indoors. Awesome!

Congratulations on being a new vaper and finding Halo. As a 14 month vaper I have only one regret, I use to smoke outside & garage only. Like you I was thrilled to vape in the house with no complaints. Problem is, it's very hard for me to 'cut back', I'm still a chain-vaper and wished I had stayed outside / garage. Of course you may not be as compulsive as me, that's my experience for what it's worth:vapor:

Yes. Giving it a good airing out overnight. The clove is still there, but it is blended now and tolerable.

Thanks! And hah! I have had my vape sprees too. I got 24mg so I need to watch it or I'll get a headache! But it's been great. Funny thing, when I first switched over... I totally quit the analogs right. I always went outside to smoke my rollies. I realized how "ritualistic" my smoking was as I was roughing through those first few days... I would go outside to vape... the same spot outside. ;D It just felt better, and helped me through it. But yeah after those first few days I got lazy and started to reap the benefits of my new habit, and find myself puffin away at the computer. Life is good!

Yes, I'm a lifelong smoker blah, blah, blah. When the Halo Starter showed up I had 5 analogs left. took 3 days to smoke those 5 and never bought / grubbed another analog. As I said, 'compulsive' so I knew through the startup time that just one more analog would destroy everything. That has kept me analog-free for 14 months:toast:
