Do these 2 mixers accomplish the same basic goal - smooth out rough/sharp edges in flavors and make separate flavors blend better? Or is there a difference in the two?

Similar concept but it has a different result, at least for me. When I added Smooth to my tobaccos, it didn't seem to make a difference but I've heard it mixes well with fruits
