Hi Meggers and Pepper!!

It's Monday again ... all day long.

:D

 No chit! At least it's finally gonna warm up to "normal" temperatures around here. Maybe it'll finally melt some this 14 inches of freaking snow we have. Course...guess you all are gonna get hit again from what I saw on the news. You know, if this keeps up, you all may yet learn how to drive in it. :D

 A lot of times I just call in and they call whatever prescription I need in and I don't have to see the Doc. But now...they send you a bill for $35.00 just cause you called in? I always did that just to save them time and me money. Phukers!

???!!!???

I have never HEARD of that!!!

Around these here parts, if a script needs refilling (ie: you have run out of refills), the pharmacy will call it in. If the doc declines, the pharmacy lets you know.

With my new insurance, prescriptions can only be in 1-month increments (old insurance would fill 3 months at a time). And, I am now not allowed to do it mail-order. Luckily, the pharmacy I use does "auto refills"... and you have a choice: either go in every month and just pick it up (it'll be waiting) -or- sign up for mail delivery... but they charge $3.99 per mailing. I'll pick it up, thank you.

My Dad is a very different story... and the 1-month limit is SO inconvenient for him. He REFUSES to change pharmacy, and his does not have auto-refill or a mailing option. He get 6 or 7 every month... all at different times. I say, "Dad... let's see if we can get things so you only have to go once a month... sync everything up gradually." :: shrug :: I guess it gives him something to do. But it concerns me because he's having problems getting around -and- he has to drive... which scares the daylights out of me. I've even offered up all day Wednesdays for errands, docs, whatever all before our weekly dinner. I am sensing he'll be taking me up on that, soon.

If they attempt to bill after you have walked, give them the opportunity to remove it with the understanding that if they do not, they will be reported for insurance fraud ... I had to do that once.

I was in the waiting room for no less than 45 minutes at which time I was then moved to a 'holding cell' for another 45 minute wait. I finally had enough and walked out ... I could not believe they still tried to bill me! :glare:

I will call the insurance provider and ask them if they have a "wait time" limit... probably NOT since it's their bread and butter.

The waiting game at any doc is just frustrating.

 Well...it's not for a prescription that I would use regularly or a refill. It's for like when I get a sinus infection or something and i need an antibiotic or something. Instead of going in...I just call them, give them whats going on and they call in a prescription. That way...we don't have to see each other. And they just recently started charging me for calling in. You'd think they'd appreciate it(they seemed to for years).

Ah! Got'cha. Yeah, I had quite a number of years running where I'd get an annual upper respiratory thing. The last couple of times, I'd just call in, self-diagnose, moan and groan, and ask for "the usual". But that was a few years ago. Maybe they do the same thing now... dunno.

Good evening Katya and Tibs :)

I haven't been watching much of the Olympics. I did catch the guys freestyle snowboarding...that was good :D

I had so much trouble with ECF just after noon EST that I signed off. It was just as well, since I had to get out and take care of things :)

I had my next to last appointment with the shoulder surgeon today...They were running about an hour behind schedule, so they called me and told me to come later. I really appreciated that consideration. Bear would be jealous :D

Hello Atty!

Hope your shoulder heals fast, Stone! Snowboarding is a riot! And how about those Dutch speed skaters? :D
Thanks...the shoulder is healed, or so I was told today  I think the next appointment is a formality (and unnecessary, IMO...but I'm not a doc).

I missed the Dutch speed skaters...I do think they are interesting to watch, but I'm just not feeling the Olympics this time around. I used to watch more of the events, but it also seems like more events were aired...or maybe I had less to do back then

Mornin, snails!

So, you know those "higher-end" juices that come in glass bottles with no dropper, and just a cap? I'm an idiot with a syringe...lost close to 20ml of juice out of a 30ml bottle. So sad...it was Mad Murdock's Mellow Melange that I was trying it out for the first time. :p

Have a good day everyone!

I used to use a syringe, but I switched to needle cap bottles, So much easier--you can get needle tip bottles or just needle tip caps that fit most juice bottles.
