Can't afford gardeners and deck builders too. LOL. I dug up a huge daylily,wedged a piece of wood under it after I had dug all around it and kind of rolled it up out of the hole. Used a saws-all to quarter it into 4 plants.

The other one I dug up was bigger. I got 6 good sized plants out of it. Hubby had to get that one up. Hated to see him do it cause of his back but I couldn't move it.
Happy plants...unhappy back. I have some that probably need to be split- but i think i'll wait until next spring.
Hubs is going to see his chiropractor tomorrow. Probably won't do much good since he has to come home and work on the truck in the garage.
