I just looked at the map of temps for the USA. Wow. Cold. Weird band of cold all along the East coast...all the way down to the gulf.

She's just not used to the concept of "cold". It's new. Like...it might be a little cold near her big window.

Haze, it was an eventful evening...glad all was well.
Maybe it's not the windows Tibs, even double-paned windows can only buffer so much of an indoor-outdoor temperature differential.
Atty, I didn't shun y'all yesterday. In fact at 3pm, i realized i'd been on the computer all day, so went to read a book (granted i was obsessively checking the news and FB, interspersed with checking the amount of ice on the street in front of my house)
We're already up to the 20's this morning and will be in the 40's this afternoon. It's another "snow day"...or more accurately "get the last stragglers home and give people a chance to go get their cars off the road" day. I'll get a ride this afternoon to go retrieve my car from the parking deck that i was lucky enough to get into before my walk home.
We'll be in the 60's this weekend. Whew!

i was on the phone with the boy. raleigh is at 4 degrees and he's heading for an interview at first citizens - i don't think he'll ever feel secure again at credit suissethe pipes in danger are at some business properties we have in town and, yes, high temp today is supposed to get above freezing
