let's hope they all hanging out in newark! ;)
Some of them decided to extend their stay and "party" in NYC...I guess it's nice to have that flexibility :)
ooohhh. poor denver fans, stuck in the airport and being taunted. the seattle fans might be having a slightly better time of it...but still.
I thought the same thing...dumb of me to think they might join forces since they were all stuck in NJ instead of being able to go home

G'mornin, snails! :D

So the forecast is 1-6" (I'm kinda combining two) for today...MODoT puts out an advisory to not travel unless it's an emergency. Who in the world makes these decisions?!?!

And today I get to see the Dr. again, this time to get my stitches removed and hopefully bid farewell to the last splint this stupid limb will ever see. I'm OK with limited weight bearing, but if I'm not cleared to drive a car, I'm going to throw the biggest tantrum toddlers wouldn't be able to fathom! :p

Be safe in whatever weather you're stuck with today, snails! :)

... but if I'm not cleared to drive a car ...

Did they confiscate your keys?

No. Really.

You know YOUR abilities and limitations better than "they" do.

Just anecdotal, but... my Dad had triple bypass at 79. In and out of hospital in 3 days. Told to not drive until after his follow-up appointment (2 weeks). He was going to the grocery store 2 days after coming home. Smart???... dunno. Point being, he felt he could do it, so he did it. Not the same kind of operation/procedure, but if YOU feel you can drive, I say go for it.

Sugar not only makes you fat, it may make you sick – The Chart - CNN.com Blogs

“This relative risk was more than double for those who consumed 21% or more of calories from added sugar,” they wrote.

Schmidt writes that these new findings “provide physicians and consumers with actionable guidance. Until federal guidelines are forthcoming, physicians may want to caution patients that, to support cardiovascular health, it’s safest to consume less than 15% of their daily calories from added sugar.”

That’s the equivalent, Schmidt points out, of drinking one 20-ounce Mountain Dew soda in a 2,000-calorie diet.

Ima gonna die!

not so fast, bear! ;) this last operation was touch and go to fix an error in the previous one. success rate at just 50% to keep a normal gait. in mad's place i would adhere strictly to whatever guide lines are given. your dad was lucky but why take chances? it's not a matter of feeling up to it but encountering unforeseen circumstances. how would your dad have fared if the airbag had engaged?

oh! and a good morning to you! ;)

Good morning Bear :)

I followed all instructions after shoulder surgery and still had complications...I don't know what that means other than we all heal differently and respond differently to those stresses. Good luck Mad!!!

And you too, Tibs, with the jaw!
