Lake Ontario has completely frozen over on five recorded occasions: from about January 20 to about March 20, 1830;[26] in 1874;[27] in 1893;[27] in 1912;[27] and in February 1934.[27]

OK, five times. None in my lifetime.

I do not care what "the news" is saying... the lake is NOWHERE NEAR approaching "frozen over" this year. Maybe 100-200 feet out, but that's it. There have been YEARS where only shoreline ice has formed.


:censored: ... just heard the plow go by. :censored: Well, at least Husbear did the driveway. I'll need to go out and re-open the entrance.
