Lake effect, snowstorm, or both?

Lake effect, CES. Ontario doesn't freeze over (maybe ONCE in time of record keeping, I'll look), so we are punished throughout the Winter.
It's have to be pretty darned cold for a long time for the lake to freeze- you might be marginally better off with the lake-effect snow

OK, five times. None in my lifetime.
I do not care what "the news" is saying... the lake is NOWHERE NEAR approaching "frozen over" this year. Maybe 100-200 feet out, but that's it. There have been YEARS where only shoreline ice has formed.
... just heard the plow go by. Well, at least Husbear did the driveway. I'll need to go out and re-open the entrance.
Our roof shovel person is here. He's doing the bedroom first. What a relief.
