Good morning Atty, Stay safe and dry.

Fido had the same idea. Was upset all night. He got up, took one look toward the back deck, (roar of thunder), walked into the front room and filled the carpet up with pee.

Early morning carpet cleaning for Atty. (Not that I'm mad at him, just the situation.)

You never get that all out without removing the carpet and padding. Grrrr.
I have "special" pet shampoo for the carpet cleaner for just such an emergency. Enzymes supposedly break stuff down. Yeah right.

And, of course, he collapsed in it. Bath day tomorrow (sunny and warm). Grrrr.

working on consumer problems today! rug first then on to panasonic - the handle of my kenmore canister vac decided to erupt into flames a while back

use white vinegar in a pinch, atty! poor fido - atty can take it

then sears had the nerve to say 'sorry, out of warranty'

Thanks for the vinegar tip...I think. At least CES is nice (Fran usually too).

However, normal shampoo is fine. Did lots of water and rinsing by machine. It will have to do.

I'm thinking that FLAMES go just a teensy bit beyond warrenty....

but, hey, that's just me.

(if it was e-cig batteries there'd have been a bunch of news stories and kerfluffle about it)

btw it happened on my watch and i'm glad - joan gets flustered easily and might have thrown it on the carpet. i chose to deposit it on the stone floor and avoided further damage. naturally, the vac is no longer useable ..............

I did not know Panasonic made "Kenmore" products. All of them? Means we have a new (13may14) Panasonic fridge.

Speaking of which: The internal LED lighting units are NOT self-serviceable parts. One must have a serviceperson come out to replace. Because we consumers are dolts and unable to change lights ourselves.

And DUH me!!! ***MY*** vacuum (Hus has "his" own) is a 30-year old (+ ???) Kenmore canister!!! Have only needed to replace the hose in all that time. Mine has nothing on the handle-proper to incinerate, though. Just a power head connection under it.

you got your vacuum when Kenmore was a good, solid brand, and lasted close to forever.
