G'mornin, snails!

Got rear-ended Friday evening on my way home from dinner with the parents...on the hwy. in Cardinals baseball game traffic. The kicker? ....... who hit me ran.

The old Ford Aerostar van 2 or 3 cars behind me couldn't stop in time, either. The van ended up skidding across 4 lanes and hitting the armco barrier straight on.

Luckily, for me, the hit wasn't hard enough to set off the airbags. I knew I was gonna get smacked and had enough reaction time to sit back in the seat with my head against the headrest, take my (bad) foot off the brake, and let go of the steering wheel.

As I was pulling over, I thought the car that hit me was pulling over also. It got hit hard enough that the back looked like a fully compressed crumple zone. But no, the driver just kept on going and I just watched in disbelief. I'd like to think the driver who hit me was trying to catch the car that was responsible for smashing his.

I dunno...I've been through too much in the past year for this little incident to "move the needle" anywhere close to the red zone.
