omg

Tax refunds will be cut for ACA recipients

This is "news"???

This is NOT "news"... underestimating your income will ABSOLUTELY mean you are not eligible for the ACA subsidy you have been receiving... and OF COURSE you should pay it back. What do people EXPECT?!?! It was all spelled out in uncomplicated plain language at the time of sign-up. READ THE CONTRACT, people!!!

Just about all of the "comments" make me just shake my head.

It also prompted me to fire off a "letter to the editor" re: wasting space in the "news"paper.

In fairness to the detractors, I suppose... nothing is mentioned about people who OVERestimated their income. Will they get more back (in the form of a refund)?... or will gubmint just say "oh well... you lose"???

Remains to be seen.

But really... the side of the coin depicted in that article is NOT NEWS.

This ALMOST makes me want to go "Outside".

Maybe if somebody else brings it up.

That was never in question as far as I know. You'd pay back the difference in premiums.

The question about overestimating is still outstanding as far as I know. Congress and/or IRS or whomever is debating it. There's a lot of people with variable incomes (like those that work on commission, etc.) so predicting the future is a hard thing. They may just have to eat any over-payments they made due to overestimating. IDK.

And even MORE late-breaking USELESS news...

..."His research shows that people pour themselves more in a 16-ounce glass — the typical size of many kitchen glasses — than a 12-ounce glass."

YA THINK?!?!?!

Last I knew, 16 > 12 !!!

And this is the kind of stuff we PAY for in a newspaper.

stop the fussing, bear! :D it's all useless lately!
